When emoji movie is at 20 on top 20 worst movie of all time, you know it's gonna be one hell of a list.
You can't deny that we are all confused how the hell an Emoji to be made into a feature film

The problem with "worst movies of all time" lists is that, inevitably, they turn out to be "worst movies within the living memories of the list creator's target demographic," and that demographic's living memory is usually 20 years or less.
They also rarely look at actual obscure movies, which is where many of the actual worst movies are. Like Violent Shit (yes, that is the actual title), a movie that somehow got a theatrical release despite having audio so muffled it's unintelligible, sometimes runs at 2 frames a second, and is basically a series of events where you meet a few characters, only to see them get killed off before you know them. And that's not even touching on the bizarre ending where the killer collapses, his skin rots off, and he rips himself open, revealing a baby.
Even crazier, that movie somehow got 3 sequels and a 2015 remake.
And that's not the worst movie I've heard of.
Yeah, this video kind of missed the mark by claiming to be "all time". Where's Manos: The Hands of Fate? Or Plan 9 from Outer Space? Or Reefer Madness?
And it's ever changing. Any Batman movie will never be in the top 20. If you made a list like 1001terrible movie to see before you die ok

Howard the Duck actually has a huge cult following, and I for one actually love this movie… While I agree it was a bomb when it first came out, it’s one of those movies that years later people truly came to love… Just like Rocky Horror Picture Show grew in popularity over decades…

There is no comparison between those two movies. Rocky Horror Picture Show was actually good, weird yes, but funny. Howard the Duck belongs on a list of the worst movies ever made.

To be fair, a lot of film makers have become lazy and unimaginative since the turn of the millennium, there are far more bad films being concocted now than in the 1990s and earlier, especially in the comedy field. Funny used to equal wit and clever writing, nowadays it's all toilet humour and embarrassing slapstick that a 5 yearly could come up with.
And that aren't just American. Even the qualifier "English language" movies would open up literally thousands of new possibilities.
Seriously. I had to double check the title to see if it was just the 2000s.
I watched Movie 43 on my grandparents' house at 4:30 AM on the TV.
And, honestly? I thought it was more bizarre than funny. Not that my sense of humour was broken. I just couldn't understand it.

The best part of all of these movies is that I never watched any of them.
I saw Howard the Duck. Believe me, you're not missing anything by missing it. I really don't understand the love for it. It's a horrible movie, not surprising that it killed careers.
Al Pacino must have thought “hey I’m in the best movie of all time why not feature in the worst as well!”

However, I actually liked Jack and Jill..
He actually has a great sense of humor and he's very humble so he probably didn't take it too personally.

Room is a cult classic now, dragonball evolution is just bad, it should be number 1
It is the worst best movie ever not just worst. It's been 17 years since release and still packs movie theatres on special screenings. Saw one last year in London and was one of the best movie experiences I had in a theatre.
DB:E failed for being a horrible adaptation. The Room failed for even its very concept being complete and utter garbage, let alone the actual acting and production; it only gets a pass because it's actually pretty fun to watch the movie, and mock the ever-loving hell out of it, with friends.
I’ve got a DVD of Dragon Ball evolution in my Girl Cave and it’s a big stinker to begin with, due to its troubled production history.

Mac and Me definitely falls into the category of "so bad, it's good". It's one of those movies that you cannot help but laugh at due to its awkward scenes like the boy falling off the cliff and into the water and that stupid, unfitting dance sequence with Ronald McDonald and the kids at McDonald's. So ridiculous, but utterly hilarious!

There was nothing funny about Batman and Robin. It was absolute rubbish with the worst acting. Arnold was no way Dr Freeze, he doesnt even suit the character. Yes Clooney was a decent Bruce Wayne but a TV Batman. Fantastic 4 wasnt a bad movie but it was butchered by the producers just so they could keep the rights and where did that get them? Fox sold them to Disney anyway.

I was 10 when I watched the last airbender and I still remember how pathetically shitty that movie was. I've NEVER attempted to re-watch it.
I was like "If Number 1 ends up not being The Room, than idk what is."
Every time I see a list like this, all I can think of is "these aren't even in the top 100 of bad movies when you take into account all movies".
In a way you're right. But I think this list was only focusing on major motion pictures. Obviously, there are many worse movies that weren't on this list, but those movies weren't trying to be Hollywood blockbusters, so they can be excused. Independent films and small-budget films aren't expected to be great, except in their own unique way.
However, one film that should have been on this list was 'Leonard Part 6'. it's officially considered one of the worst movies ever made.

I never heard of that movie until now. That duck looks scary as heck. If you sat through that as a child, then there's nothing that scares you as an adult. You fear nothing.

At the 4:18 mark, is number 16 GLITTER (2001). I remember when this movie bombed in the theaters and people stayed away in mass. MARIAH CAREY was having a near nervous breakdown from stardom and life stress. She pleaded for people to leave her alone in her real life. TV’S CONAN O’BRIEN joked in his monologue that if MARIAH truly wanted to be alone she should go to the theater to see her movie GLITTER. That was over 20 years ago and I still remember that funny joke.

I almost agree with this list. If only Batman & Robin and Howard The Duck were left out. Those are two of my top 20 favorite movies ever. The problem with WatchMojo is that they make their lists based on propaganda instead of relatable opinions.

The worst part is , that in a number of meetings with the creators of these films, THIS was the best version that they could come up with. What a ghastly thought. Imagine how horrid first drafts would have been.
Glitter was so bad! It makes sense now but at the time my family and I were dumbfounded because we couldn't find a copy that worked. My sisters were really into musicals so my mom bought them a copy. It skipped and would not play. So she took it back, and again same thing. Finally they bought a third copy from a different store and again it didn't work. I assume they just threw them on to dvds with no quality control.

I remember my babysitter took me and my brother to see the emoji movie we literally forced and begged her to see it and she Didn’t even want to see it but we saw it anyways bc we had nothing to do we finished the film I thought it was pretty enjoyble but that was only because I was 6 year old kid and now I’m like 14 and looking back I realized that I was just a dum little kid that would like anything I put my interest to but now I regret watching that terrible film and me wanting to listen to my babysitter. The film is just a whole 1 in a half minute crash grab about how teenagers should interact with the friends on phones in a easier way by using those things the movie was evolving around...how dum can Sony and Hollywood be for letting this film be made. Oh and btw I just wanna let the film companies to not ever adapt to something that’s not worth the minutes...like don’t adapt to something that’s really popular and that you think people would enjoy bc then you’ll just hit red flags along the way.

Because although the reception was equivalent to The Last Airbender, Jem and The Holograms was so lifeless and bare bones that literally no one remembers that it actually happened.
It's like comparing The Christmas Tree to Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa. Both of them are bad, but The Christmas Tree is at least memorably bad.

Yeah, there have been all kinds of stinkers. Plan 9 From Outer Space, Frogs. It Came From Outer Space, just to name a few. But they are probably cult classics.
I would point out in consideration of the complaints of "white washing" that if people have an issue with those but then consider it racist when someone complains about a black Queen Anne Boleyn or a black Ariel, that person is a hypocrite and vice versa. Same if someone doesn't see white washing as an issue but has a big problem when Ariel is black, that person is also a hypocrite. Either character races can be swapped around or they can't. We don't get to say it's OK when it's more of the kinds of faces we like and bad when it's more of the kinds of faces we don't want.

They talked down on Batman Forever in this vid. Batman Forever is a timeless masterpiece. It is loaded with throwbacks to the old Adam West series. Jim Carey as the riddler is positively priceless. A shrink that falls in love with a mentally disturbed crime fighter such as Batman is beyond entertainment. 🦇

The worst movies of all time are anything featuring: Jim Carrey, Adam Samberg, Arnold Schwartzenegger, or Kirk Cameron (who actually should be shot for Crimes Against Culture).

I cant explain how disappointed i was when I first saw mk annihilation..the first movie was and still is dope and an underrated classic imo and being 12 with mk one of my favorite video game series at the time i was pumped as hell for Annihilation but damn i came out feeling like Ebert did about North but over the years Annihilation has grown to be a so bad it's good movie...i damn near and maybe even do like it more than the reboot earlier this year..yet anither mk disappointment...and how the hell does Uwe keep making movies?..i could see if they brought in money or were critically acclaimed but none of them are anywhere near that

I guess there were no bad movies before 2000? North and Jaws Revenge aren’t anywhere close to this list. You all probably need to do this by decade or start watching more movies. Just because Rotten Tomatoes and random dudes on TH-cam and IMDb say it is bad doesn’t make it all time cringe. You could have just pilfered MST3K and maybe added a few modern flicks.

There’s also a cheesy in name only film adaptation of the Poison ivy character. I haven’t seen it but it’s a teen drama instead of being about the titular villainess’ usual crime exacerbating hijinks.
