I've stamped mine with DO NOT BEND before and I've gotten photos from the people who received them of the box literally folded sandwich style in a mailbox. I ship mine in ULINE mailers like that too but now I sandwich them between two pieces of cardboard at least.
There are several things for how to get paid for photos Use you social media accounts to market Setup your own blog Join a suitable course or site for marketing photos (I discovered these and why they work on Hartlyn photo pro site )
This is really helpful - I've been wondering how to improve my print making process. You should put a piece of styrofoam board behind the prints so that people physically can't bend them while shipping
Really informative! Thanks for this one Matt. Good to see your process broken down. I've recently sold a couple of prints and was hoping maybe to sell more in the future. Your workflow seems damn slick. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Matt, Thank you very much for sharing your printing/packaging process. You are such an inspiration. I was thinking of doing the same with my own photos. However, I was wondering whether there is a better alternative to the plastic bags. I just want to deliver my photos with minimum damage to the environment. Do you have any suggestions in that regard? TIA Cheers, Waruna
You could always use printable sticker paper instead of a regular paper. Although cost wise it would probably be a bit more expensive than the regular one + some scotch tape solution.
OMG Thank you SO MUCH for making this Video! You touched on things I had not even considered! I can't tell you how helpful this is. Liked, Subbed, and Bell! It's the least I can do! :D
Hello, I ask to you, How tips for shipping larger prints, like 16" or 20'? I have print gallery like 13x19" I not like rolls. I want be flat Rigid Mailer .037" and can add FILLER PAD for Rigid Mailers " corrugated cardboard.
Hey Matt, I really appreciate this video!!! Super helpful and encouraging for me to get going!! Just wondering, I'm based in Sweden....ShipStation doesn't ship out of Sweden at this time...do you have any other websites you'd recommend for me? Many thanks!!!
@@lp2604 yeah mate that’d do perfectly, I use tubes for the larger prints. A4,A3 I post in card backed envelopes. It’s just what to do with the mounted or framed prints. I ordered some card boxes off eBay for the 20x16s and frames but once they’ve been used up I think I’ll stop offering the option of mounted or framed prints. For the additional bit of profit it’s becoming a pain in the behind, I think from next year it’ll be any size as print only posted in a tube keeping it simple.
@@northernimagesphotography yeah I think that's your best bet. I've stopped selling framed prints its not worth the hassel. And if they are framed I only sell them to locals. I've posted framed photos in the past and even with fragile on it, they still end up damaged and there is not much profit on them. I have a few large print orders waiting to go to America from Ireland and i think the safest way is in a tube.
Any advice on people that just wanna start out selling prints but don't have their own printer and might not wanna invest in a high quality printer right away?
That’s my print in the video!!! Thank you so much, it looks great!
Hey matt your writing is so clean and neat.

I've started to think about printing my own images so this is a really handy video!
Thanks Matt! Your video inspired me to start selling my own prints. I've watched your video a few times already :)
I notice you only have 8x10 prints at the moment, but any tips for shipping larger prints, like 16" or 20'?

This was a really insightful video, thank you!
How do you know how much to charge for shipping? Do you just incorporate it into the total price of your photos?
I wish you could show more of how you do them.

I'm looking for the same advice. I'm thinking of using a mailing tube for my prints as they are 18x24 which is very large
