Mine does not have the silver part, if i screw it off the whole silver part including a black part comes off as one piece.. How do i get the black piece of the knob?
Yes you right, but just because thred is deeper than original. I put inside the nob 3 mm rubber and it not allow go deeper then it should and gears work perfectly🙂
Mine was the same, but after reading these replies looked for a rubber washer, could not find one but had a rubber band, pushed that into the centre hole and screwed it up really tight and BINGO it worked a treat, so thanks to this post of yours Jon, it got the answers you and I wanted.
