Interesting talk. And a look at international laws on something this clear-cut is a solid reminder of why International Environmental Law was the most depressing course in all of our environmental science program.
"International law" works by stronger countries dictating what they want to weaker countries. You can argue about the morals and justice all day long but morals and justice are not the main purpose of this system. There may be cases where an international justice ruling is actually in line with real justice and morals, that's called a happy coincidence.
I do find it interesting not that I believe in international law, That is a joke of the worst order. More so, the agreements that nations impose to limit the escalation of conflict to prevent a total war of annihilation. And the origins of this agreement to limit escalation.
Great talk, a different look at the war and its outcomes. Thank you.
