1:08:48 JUST AMAZING! Thoroughly enjoyed this. Mr. Kelsall is truly a genius! Grew up in the mid ‘60s roller skating to pipe organ music in Cleveland, Ohio at the Rollercade and have forever been a fan. Thank You 😊
Very dynamic in all styles, not too little not too much. You get to hear all the individual voices and sounds with such clarity. Has to be up there with the best of the best. You can definately hear Phils influence on the imecable Robert Wolf. Pure Magic, thank you for posting.
Phil is to this day the only theatre organist to have landed a place in the charts. Back in 2001 he was in the classical albums charts at No.4 ahead of the likes of John Williams (THE John Williams) and Andrea Bocelli. He remained in the charts for a total of 14 weeks. He is also the only theatre organist awarded a platinum award for album sales.
That must have been a treat to be there. I've been to this place and seen a concert there, maybe twice, many years ago. It's almost unbelievable that this is all in a high school auditorium. So few kids get to have this anywhere else.
BRILLIANT I rember growing up in England and my Aunt had 78 records with Reginald Dixon. I loved playing them very loudly. I've been a Theatre Organ fan every since.. ATOS member. Thank you for a fantastic show.
I'm sure I've seen him in person somewhere. It wasn't at Dickinson, though, although I've seen one or two shows there (I think two.) Somewhere in Florida, I think. Might have actually been the Kirk in Dunedin.
I've spent many an hour watching Phil play at Blackpool and regularly take a trip from the Midlands to spend a few hours listening to him play, it's great to see him in concert, I attended his 40th concert was a great night, he's a lovely fellow aswell
Thanks so much for posting this wonderful video. Mr Kelsall is a superb artist. The instrument is wonderful. A delightful program to watch, I only wish that I could have seen it live. Also it has been a hope of mine to be able to hear Mr. Kelsall at the Tower Ballroom and have the opportunity to dance there. My fondness of the theatre Pipe Organ goes back to my younger days late 50s and 60s when I was a season ticket holder to Chicago Blackhawks games. I used to get to the stadium early to hear Al Melgard at the magnificent Barton organ. So sad that it is long gone. Thanks to all of you in these theatre organ society’s for preserving and putting on these shows with the world class performers. Once again thank you.
I was at the concert, he was incredible! I loved when he played his famous Blackpool style of playing with the xylophone, glockenspiel, and the piano! It is so good to hear it in person! Afterward, he gave me some tips on how to "waterfall" on the organ, which is when you move your left and right hand down and up the keyboard.
A superb underestimated player and a genuine sincere person ,who is guaranteed to entertain to the masses - Keep up the good work you do Phil - Love it.
I was there too, was a fantastic show Phil put on , I often travel from Wolverhampton to Blackpool to spend a few hours in the ballroom when Phil is scheduled to play, I love his playing style
Well this is a big event for me, Phil Kelsall Live in concert at the Dickinson Kimball in Dickinson Theatre at John Dickinson High School, Wilmington, Delaware. I have been a fan of Mr Blackpool since I was a teenager and I always hoped to see him play one of the great theatre organs in the USA and finally here it is. Just read the positive feedback in the comments. Sit back and enjoy a real treat. Wonderful filming and the Organ in Phil’s hands and feet is superb.
I play a MIDI accordion and always smitten by Theatre Organs and the wonderfull players of the instrument , but now own a Reg Rawlins V3 Theatre Organ Sounds and now am my OWN theatre organist in a sense ! Long live the THEATRE ORGAN ?
I find it intersting that *no matter what is played* most is sounding as if he is in Blackpool, nothing wrong with that 🙃 back in time: Wherever Douglas Reeve played one could always hear his favourite registrations of the Brighton Dome Christie, also when he played Wurlitzer organs, fond memories of which in the Manchester Free Trade Hall 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I am also a fan of Phil's superb music and love his CDs and enjoy them here in Niagara Falls, N.Y. USA and love his playing at the Tower Ballroom and the Dance time music. Is that available on a cd?
The organ and acoustics are AWESOME ! Phil Kelsall is unbelievably fantastic ! Your auditorium deserves a MUCH BETTER PA SYSTEM ! It is too difficult to understand the speaker's voice. Just sayin' !

Fantastic selection of music played.
I’m a fan of Phil Kelsall here in the UK and he’s one of the best Theatre organists in the world I think.
I'm sure I've seen him in person somewhere. It wasn't at Dickinson, though, although I've seen one or two shows there (I think two.) Somewhere in Florida, I think. Might have actually been the Kirk in Dunedin.
As far as I'm concerned, Phil is the greatest organist! He is brilliant.
