They could do Anais, Darwin, Gumball, Penny, a chase Penny where she is not in the shell, Richard (dad), Nicole (mom), Banana Joe, Granny Jojo, Wrecker (Rob, the arch enemy), and a bunch of the school kids. Also, they could do Ben 10. They could do Ben and he comes with a small Pop of Grey matter, Gwen, Grandpa Max, XLR8, Diamondhead, Heatblast, Four Arms, Overflow, Stinkfly, Upgrade, Wildvine, Cannonbolt, and some of the villains like the Weatherhead Robots in a 3 pack, Queen Bee, Hex, Steam Smythe, etc.
I can't wait for you to do another one next month. I remember watching this video a long time ago (I think in like January or February) and I was like "I can't wait another year for them to make another Funko Awards" and now it's less than a month away. I'm so excited!!

I totally agree with you guys. I've been collecting since 2012. I remember when the blue box Star Wars pops first came out. No one even knew what funko pops were at that time (including me). I purchased them for my boyfriend in 2012 simply because we both enjoy collecting figurines for the books, comics, movies and TV shows we like. When I started collecting, chases and exclusives really WERE rare. Now a days exclusives are a dime a dozen. Each set has several exclusives! Pops in general have become so much more "common." I think its because pop collecting grew exponentially in 2016. Now everyone knows to look for exclusives, chases, etc... even the store employees. Some people take advantage of this and re-sell them on sites like eBay and Mercari. Because of this, both in-store and online markets are SATURATED with pops, making them a more common commodity. The problem is when people start "flipping" pops for more than their retail value. People get sick of not being able to find them in the store & having to pay marked up prices on eBay, especially for ones that aren't even that "rare." It's simple economics for all collectibles: people get tired of paying high prices and the demand for them decreases... when the demand decreases, the value of the item also decreases. In order for pops to remain collectible, they need to be affordable (generally speaking with some exceptions), and the exclusive/rare pops need to maintain their rarity. Otherwise it could turn into a beanie baby repeat and we DEF don't want that to happen! I'm an OG collector like you guys & I love your videos, keep it up! I am excited to see what 2017 brings - funko has immensely improved the design of pops over the past 2 years, so I expect them to get even better in 2017 (for example, the original Disney princesses vs the new Disney princess series, you can see how much they've improved the design and sculpture of these).
Just found this channel, love it! I usually only buy a few pops for myself but I always wind up buying them as gifts for friends and family and following the funko blog to see if any cool ones are coming out. I bought my mom the golden girls pops and she loved em. The bill and ted, & rick and mortys were also cool looking ones I gave as gifts. But the guns n' roses Slash pop, which I guess would have to be on a 2017 list was one of the coolest looking pops I've seen. It was sold out everywhere I went but a Barnes and Noble had one left randomly on display.I bought it as a gift for my friends who's a big gnr fan, but I was tempted to keep it myself.
We NEED a Walt Disney Pop. What would be even better is if Funko made a 2-pack of Walt Disney holding hands with Mickey like the iconic statue at Walt Disney World. Maybe even for the new Disney subscription box???

Oh my gosh one comic store that i went to in new jersey had the golden 2 pack. The owner went to the event and got the golden ticket and won the pop. I saw it with my own eyes. I was amazed as a pop collector to see the rarest pop in the world.

Every time I see Funko pops of people like the cast of saved by the bell or the presidential candidates, I express my desire to my girlfriend to have one in my own image. To be immortalized in a figure would be a dream come true especially given how much I loved action figures as a child. This Christmas, that dream came true. My girlfriend had a funko pop costumized in my image. Dreams do come true! Best gift ever!!!
That'd be great if Funko did a TMNT Box. With the Mirage Comics, Image Comics, IDW Comics, Archie Comics, 80's show, 2003 show, 90's movies and more, there's so much stuff they could do.

I also think they should make the Pretty Little Liars Character, especially the four girls, Mona, and Ezra, they should make more music pops like Taylor Swift, Queen, One Direction, Twenty One Pilots, and Justin Bieber, and they should make How I Met Your Mother Characters, Seinfeld Characters, and finally Gossip Girl Characters.

I have been looking around for some good channels to see Funko collectors with some experience who can set and talk about their collection and what they like and didn't like. I found you two. I really like you guys! Are you married? I'm sorry, none of my business, but totally a great combo to listen to and watch. (Love the BM jacket and Tie. I so agree about the Harry Potter Pops, some of my favorite. I just wanted to let you all know you're really great, doing a great job.
I have to disagree on the topic of rarity. If you are collecting in order to make a profit, then yes, you want rare items, and you want to be the one that gets them. But unless you're planning on selling them at some point, why do you care how rare something is? And if you do plan to sell them, you're not really a collector. You're an investor. As a collector that collects simply because I like that physical connection to something that I love, I don't care if everyone on the planet has the same thing. In fact, if you're a fan too, I want you to be able to have that if you want it. It isn't the rarity that makes a collectable special, it's the personal connection you have to it. 1) Squirrel Girl! 2) didn't really have a worst design that I saw. I don't follow it enough to know, I just buy the ones I like 3) The Batman Imposters. I'm not a huge Batman fan, but I like the cleverness of these designs 4) again, not any series that really disappointed me 5) Wonder Woman in her Invisible Jet 6) Best was Marvel, specifically the Women of Power box. I think that this line did the best job of giving us the unique figures. Worst was of course Smuggler's Bounty. Booooooring! 7) Best exclusive was Kitty Pryde! So thrilled to finally have her (and I found her as a Marvel Legends action figure this year too!)! Worst, I agree, Qui-Gon Jinn being so limited was disappointing. Hopefully he gets a variant that is more widely available. 8) Rock Candy, although I will say I do like the idea of the mugs (I just wish there were characters that I liked). 9) Ghost in the Shell. I NEED a Major Kusanagi in a Tachikoma as a Pop! Ride. 10) Gargoyles. If they're revisiting the old Disney Afternoon cartoons, with DuckTales (BTW, have you seen the trailer for the reboot coming next year?) then Gargoyles NEEDS a line. Also, the Amalgam Comics line. I would love to see a Pop Dark Claw!
I have heard this opinion before. I think to assume because a collector wants something special and rare in their collection that they are not a "real collector" and thus an investor is inaccurate. Rare items are a reward to those that are serious about collecting or perhaps lucky to have found one. It is also completely acceptable to sell that item if they so choose.Collectors will buy things, sell things, acquire new things and go back to old things. The point to collecting is to have fun and show off the things you have acquired over the years. Keep in mind there are thousands of people all collecting the same exact items. Like all things or lifestyles that are exactly the same it is human nature to strive to "stand out." Not only that but you must also want the market to remain strong so your favorite collectible company will continue to grow and bring out new products. If you over-saturate the market and and get rid of the "hunt" the community will suffer and so will your collection. If your not collecting to strive for rare items you might be simply decorating. Which is still ok :)

WhyHelloThere Flocked Pooh was a 2012 exclusive! The flocked pooh that came out in 2016 is a sitting down pooh. It's a hot topic exclusive and I think you can buy it in stores for $16. Hope this helped :)

Little House on the Prairie would be so cool! I'm not super into the series, but I adore the books. And on that note Little Women would be a lot of fun. Most anticipated of 2017 is the live-action Beauty and the Beast line that the photo was released today. They're beautiful! I actually only have the blindbox mini Hermione, but I"m hoping to get a few to decorate my apartment since I'll hopefully be getting my own place this year.

I have heard this opinion before. I think to assume because a collector wants something special and rare in their collection that they are not a "real collector" and thus an investor is inaccurate. Rare items are a reward to those that are serious about collecting or perhaps lucky to have found one. It is also completely acceptable to sell that item if they so choose.Collectors will buy things, sell things, acquire new things and go back to old things. The point to collecting is to have fun and show off the things you have acquired over the years. Keep in mind there are thousands of people all collecting the same exact items. Like all things or lifestyles that are exactly the same it is human nature to strive to "stand out." Not only that but you must also want the market to remain strong so your favorite collectible company will continue to grow and bring out new products. If you over-saturate the market and and get rid of the "hunt" the community will suffer and so will your collection. If your not collecting to strive for rare items you might be simply decorating. Which is still ok :)

I agree with the rarity. I dont want to collect a bunch of common pops. A lot of common pops are awesome, but its cool to get an item that a lot of other people dont have.

I'm not the biggest collector. I don't hunt as hard as most collectors. But 2016 was a pretty good year for pops of things I enjoy. Hoping 2017 brings me a homecoming vulture.

WhyHelloThere Flocked Pooh was a 2012 exclusive! The flocked pooh that came out in 2016 is a sitting down pooh. It's a hot topic exclusive and I think you can buy it in stores for $16. Hope this helped :)

Little House on the Prairie would be so cool! I'm not super into the series, but I adore the books. And on that note Little Women would be a lot of fun. Most anticipated of 2017 is the live-action Beauty and the Beast line that the photo was released today. They're beautiful! I actually only have the blindbox mini Hermione, but I"m hoping to get a few to decorate my apartment since I'll hopefully be getting my own place this year.
