Hello, Sara. I live in Nashville TN. Hendersonville is where Sebastian is from, about 25 miles north of me. This is another one of those cases that I sit shaking my head at. He did not walk away from his mom and stepfathers house. In my gut, I know something happened to him at that home. He had told his Dad on a visit he didn’t want to go back there. His Dad asked him why and he couldn’t seem to answer. His Dad sat crying because he feels guilty for not taking that more seriously. His mom and stepdad are not looking, haven’t looked, because they know where he is. Law enforcement knows a lot more than they are saying and I really think they do see this as a problem and I think they are gathering evidence. He is a child, how could anyone hurt a child? I am at a loss as to why this is taking so long. I am not a psychic but I am sensitive and I’ve know he isn’t with us. I’m sorry I went on a rant but this is in my backyard and I just wanted to say something. Thank you
I live in the Nashville area too. I've read that Sebastian's mother and step-father have relatives in law enforcement that have warned or threatened searchers presumably to protect Katie and Chris. I don't understand why the TBI doesn't take over the investigation because his father, Seth has asked them to long ago. I don't think Hendersonville PD knows their blank from a hole in the ground. Why wouldn't any of the parents be put through interrogation as if they were suspects? They're either stupid, uneducated, inexperienced, too proud to ask for help, or complicit.
I have a daughter that is high in sputum. Reads every thing, loves music, but math and money she cannot get. Just married to a wonderful man. I can die knowing she is loved and cared for.
I'm so happy I found you. I'm raising my 7yr nonverbal autistic grandson - You mentioned something very important - you never get a babysitter or allow people who don't love your child to watch them. This is something people don't understand unless you have a loved one with autism. You have to watch them 24/7. There is not much time for rest because many on the spectrum struggle with sleep. Had Sebastian been 'a runner' i might believe he would have ran out of the house. Trying to explain to someone that they only see things through their eyes is impossible. My grandson is very strong, very aggressive and very destructive. He is constantly eagle-eyeing things to destroy. He has been like that since he was very little. Praying this case brings awareness to autism because my fear is who is going to take care of these autistic children when they are grown? The number of children with autism is growing at an alarming rate. What is causing this autism and what can be done to prevent it?

It's hard to not be invested in this case, for me. My oldest son has Asperger's and looks a lot like Sebastian. So, it's definitely struck a nerve. With me. It's a difficult road having a kid with asp. But, I could never see myself lashing out and hurting my son. That's bonkers! They didn't ask to be born with it. It's not their faults! It is unnerving to see someone who resembles my son (who has HF autism) and is MISSING!! I believe that many children with autism have similar facial features. My son's eyes are the same shape as his...different colors but the same shape.
Seth the dad is a jail graud...I think it was all planned.. after school reported the belt by chris in the end of January, DPS removed chris from the home, he moved over in his trailer Nashville ,not allowed around sebastian .. he called Seth dad to have him take him starting when schools out for good..chris had courts for custody of his daughter on march 5th, he figure he tell them sebastian moving, after going out and living over there, katie knew, chris was checking out on her, Chris was mad for not being in his house.. well she takes sebastian out for an all special day, he disappeared that night.. Autistic children are precious all children are, my grandson is autistic extremely smart , he does the spinning and walks tippy toes, don't mess with his routine , he's very funny has a wonderful sense of humor i love him so much. @Kathyluv79 , I had to make that choice with my 82 year old mother, it was unexpected, but the hospice, came in and said the life support was actually hurting my mom, that she couldn't breathe out her carbon dioxide, so we did and she passed in minutes, so don't question your choice about taking someone off of life support, if there's no chance to get better, my mother fought her death, but I whispered go to glortland if you have to mom, we are all here, me and her 2 grandkids. I'm an only child, and lost my dad in 1981, so I'm t was heartbreaking, but she was suffering. Love, prayers and light and comfort.

It sounds like Chris had quite a few other snakes as a hobby, but got rid of all of them at the same time. Still, he blamed Sebastian for being irresponsible. What effect would feeding small furry animals to snakes have on Sebastian?
I’ve been thinking about this as well. It’s not at all a hobby for young impressionable kids, especially when you should be teaching them to have more empathy and to care about the wellbeing of others including animals! They say Sebastian loved animals yet they had him helping to breed rats to feed to snakes?! That’s an evil move on their part. I would completely understand if Sebastian had a lot of rage! Of course they would blame that on his “disabilities” rather than their abuse. I know there are people like this, they do everything they can to emotionally torment sensitive people under their control without crossing the line into what would be obviously illegal. I think there’s a possibility his mom might see things differently off and on and legitimately feel sorry for him. I’m praying and believing she’ll do right by her baby boy and tell the truth! Oh and I wonder if the real reason they got rid of the snakes is not because Sebastian wasn’t taking care of them?
