- So this was totally a shot in the dark at first.. but I actually ended up doing a bunch of stars blindfolded! this was so insane and I just had to make a video out of this content.. Thanks for the support and a like/subscribe would be very much appreciated!

@@Sevr-ln7kk You would to have been there during the stream. it was pretty big, heart wrenching moves that you wanted to step through the monitor and tell him Jump left, but he had a blind fold on so he wouldnt know. It was an amazing feat that I hope cheese might pursue 70 star blindfold one day

I've kind of looked at the speedruning leaderboards and it accually seems like everyone has had atleast 1 world record in a video game for speedruning
I would do the slide star to the music, honestly! If you watch and listen closely, I think, evene Nobori does it, too, but he also adds some weird counting, that I don´t understand, once he hits that first wall...

Kinda wanna try it myself, though I haven't run standard 70 star yet lol.
Theory craft for stars before Bowser 1:
Free Chomp on BoB.
Get shoot into the blue, whomp king, and tower. With proper aligning and canon practice (though I'd love to see a blind canonless), that star should be possible.
Get both slide stars.
Secret Aquarium may be possible.
Get JRB canon and treasure stars.
Activate wing cap switch, return to BoB to get the floating island star, maybe king bomb omb, and maybe koopa.
Do slide skip in CCM, baby penguin star, and wallkicks (I bet its not too bad if you just keep on 2 axes).
Bowser 1 would be pretty much impossible or at least super slow. And the actual fight would so heavily rely on correct timing that any deviation would ruin the attempt.
I based all of these on how consistent the strats may be for them, and whether or not you can simply move slowly and carefully in order to reposition or align yourself somewhere on the map, such as on corners or ledges.

Hey Cheese. Quick question. Are your recent streams subscriber only? I just started watching your streams on twitch and was able to comment on the first one but not the second and third one. Part of me wonders if I got banned from commenting. I didn't think I was *that* annoying. lol
@@cheesespeedrunningyt It's likely on my end Cheese. You were actually the first person I followed. (I later followed Gunner for Pokemon runs) In fact, I only logged on to Twitch to help GFC's like/dislike ratios after the EZScape video.
I am pretty inexperienced with Twitch. I believe I'm following you (username JBCizzle) but I'm not sure if I had to follow the stream itself as well. I was able to comment on your randomizer stream the other day, but not the Mario64 120 star one yesterday or the one a day or two before that.
@@cheesespeedrunningyt I'm an idiot. There's a small carrot next to the subscribe button that completely hides the chat window. I must have hit it by accident when I was looking at the subscribing details. It's so small that it's really easy to miss. It's all good now.

Blindfold? You mean cheese cloth?
The blindfold is especially bad in this game for a reason. In easily blindfolded games, when you mess up, you have some idea of how to reverse where you messed up.
In this game, when your inputs are slightly off, the action is slightly off... and when the action is slightly off, the camera is off, and the camera actually effects the future input.
So for example, when he gets stuck on the fence, he knows exactly where he is... but since he's off course, he has no idea which direction his camera is facing... so he has no idea which direction to press
To make it short 3d games are very impossible to complete blindfolded
I think people should do "blindfold runs" in a different room to the display the game is on. Or just turn the TV off and run the audio Jack's to speakers/headphones. That way you don't even need a blindfold, and nobody can say that you faked it - the fuckin TV was off lol!
