I remember several of these, actually went to Manchester, Bogside and Lewes as a child, Wye as a teenager. I remember Wye was closed due to horses suffering serious injuries there
Wye was closed due to the camber at the bottom bend need reversing as it went the wrong well. The stands needed improvements and the jockeys showers were all cold. The Long family were give a year to get it sorted but didn't and it was closed in 1975
