  • The beautiful thing about DaVinci Resolve is you can edit your film, color grade it and do sound design all in a single application.
GONE are the days of cutting in Avid and exporting to ProTools. Resolve and Fairlight make it so easy.
And important aspect of sound design is how you monitor your work. What speakers or headphones should you get for post sound design? How do you hook them up to your computer? Are open back headphones better than closed? Do you need an AMP? Should you get studio monitors?
We go over these details and more in this lesson!

Someone told me my audio sounded like Schiit, but something gives me the feeling that they meant it a different way than you did.

What do you recommend for monitoring sound while recording? I imagine a scenario where you're recording an interview, only to get back home and found out the sound quality was terrible. Thoughts?

Closed back headphones are your best bet.
