2010 Mercedes S550 key fob battery replacement.

This is how I learned to replace the battery in a 2010 S550 Mercedes key fob. I tried watching multiple videos and the back cover does not come off - instead, the battery case slides out the end. BTW the plastic slider I found on the desk and put back on after the video was recorded--easily lost so keep an eye on it as you are changing your own.

Ehh... old video and nice explanation. However... no tools needed. The latch inside, on the far side from where the physical key normally sits and you took out; fits to the tool on the handle end of the key that is made for this very purpose. You see that the key handle has a faced edge like a mini hammer, insert that, press to the side and leverage while moving the key. Very much like removing a nail w a hammer back end. Dont use screwdrivers. The key end is the tool to pry this open with a fairly easy twist and no force.
