CVTs are so terrible.
Test drive one of those a few years back as I was interested in buying one. Needless to say it only took me like 30sec to lose that interest Lol. Had a great sound system in it and that’s about it.
They’re designed to be modified. Driving a stock one doesn’t do the car or the experience of driving one any favors.
Adding a cold air intake with a hydralock, a quality blow off valve, add a high flow 2nd cat or a 2nd cat delete, resonator delete and a quality exhaust muffler will greatly improve the sound of the Juke and free up any restrictions on the engine helping it to breathe better.
CVTs are relatively reliable in them and hood for up to 320hp or 295lb ft of torque, whichever one comes closest to the torque since that’s the power limits of the CVT. Manual models can hold a little bit more before major upgrades to the clutch and shifter are needed
@@original__gmebvy it was just the driving experience in general and the overall feel of it that turned me off. Handled so poorly and I hated the driving position. I don’t think any of those mods you mention would allow me to enjoy it anymore than stock I’m afraid as they wouldn’t address my main dislikes of the vehicle.
@@original__gmebvy Even if someone added mods it still would be garbage. If it was terrible in stock form, it will be just as worse modded. The Juke is a terrible vehicle in general, even many Nissan employees and designers, including the CEO himself disliked it which speaks volumes. 😂
Because of the chaotic/ craziness off the turbo downpipe, with the downpipe having a 90 degree bend and being a 40lb unit, you can run them straight pipe, no res...and its still not loud lol only car I've known that can do that lol

My mom had the Juke and the only reason I ever drove it was because it was manual and had a turbo.
To be honest I never understood the point of crossovers to be honest. These things are a bit lifted off the ground, but don't drive off at all, poor packaging, smaller room than a sedan, hatchback, or station wagon, slow, fuel economy in these are way worse than most cars, and they are soulless to drive. Might as well just get a hatchback, station wagon, or sedan which is the way better choice. 😂

There is though,because if you take a 4 cylinder car making 150 hp and slap a turbo on it and it now makes 350 hp. That is replacement of displacement

On turbo vehicles, typically you want to run 3" pipe. Just fyi

Anything bigger than 2.5 inch diameter piping for these cars (especially 4 cyl Nissans) kills the torque down low and hurts their performance.

It’s not a bad transmission to have in this type of car, they’re good for up to 300hp if you’re looking for engine and exhaust modifications. Obv a manual can hold a little more before a clutch upgrade is needed but so long as you do your trans fluid changes every 25k to 30k miles and keep the power at or under 300hp the CVT will last.
A lot of people don’t do the trans fluid maintenance change on their cars when they’re supposed to (and it’s only for 60k miles for extreme circumstances) or they never change it at all and then complain when the CVT gives up the ghost.
I agree, CVTs are the worse transmissions ever. Honestly, I don't care what anyone says, they been proven to be terrible, anything outside of that is just an excuse.

Hey if I bring my truck it’s a 2008 dodge ram 1500 4.7. I want to do 2 1/4 true duals tucked and dumped with 5 inch tips how much do you think that would cost because my local shop said it would be $650 and that’s way too much out of my budget. I can supply the piping and tips. Because they’re only $150-$200 for the DIY kit.
