As a returning player (starting from scratch on PC after 120 hours on Xbox) your content is gold man. It’s been huge for me. I’ll say this, pestilence is my favorite weapon, because it fits my play style. But I’d never claim it’s the best weapon 😂. Fun, niche, gun.
This video is great. I tried KvD’s build when it first came out. This was before HB came out. I was underwhelmed. Didn’t really have anything else besides 3 Prov (sacrifice/gift), Contractors, Fox, and WH. It never felt like enough. Never considered Coyote’s Mask. I’m going to try it out now, as well as the Hollowman. Many thanks! Great content. 👍
Impressive testing, that's a ton of builds to test. I'd like to see more explanation on your math, and I've got the following questions: 1. Did you take into account hit percentage? I know you brought Headshot hit percentage in with KVD's build, but did you do it for every one of the other builds for body shots? If you're only hitting 40% of your shots or even 60% of your shots (some of the highest that I've seen, probably less if that person had been using Pesti), then the tick damage is going to matter a LOT more. 2. "DPS" in this case is just the "weapon damage" times rate of fire? And "Sustain" is that plus the tick? 3. "Max DPS" is the dps including crits (non crit times 40% + crit times 60%) times rate of fire? 4. "Output" is your "Max DPS" plus ticks? 5. Where does the reload speed come into the calculations that you're using? 6. How did you take into account Damage to Health, Damage to Armor, and Damage To targets out of Cover? Are these always assumed to be active, or is there a modifier for each of them that you didn't mention?
happy to see i was running one of the top 7 already. will compare TTK with your #1 and make the right choice. Surprised Negotiators didn’t get a look. TTK is ok if you have the crits to mark your targets fast
@@areyousure633 At the firing range...as AndroidosZ PSZ said the ND with Focus and fast hands will knock down the grouped targets in 7.2 sec, Pesti with ND Back pack, contractors and Ceska Chest with obliterate 8 sec. Striker 9 sec and the other builds around 14 secs.
I love running 3 piece striker , walker chest piece glass cannon , walker backpack vigilance , contractors gloves all rolled to CHD with armour on kill mods . I find it gets the damage and tic going quicker .
Generally when I make a new build I’ll get bored of it in like 20 mins…. I finally tried pestilence after watching this video - I was never sure what a good build for it was earlier. Having a lot of fun with it actually. Reminds me a bit of ND with tagging targets who go into cover and then die. Issue is it’s not very good at range, as Bestilence needs a lot of weapon hits to build the tick damage and that’s not so doable at longer range. I haven’t used LMG’s much, but I’ve always enjoyed the large mag size.
Glorious TH-cam algorithm popped your vids my way. Very glad it did. With regards to what you say at the beginning of the vid about clickbait titles, my suggestion for the title... "Young teenage mom watches this pestilence video, immediately calls the..."
building into crit helps the pest do more damage per shot but doesnt help the damage of the ticks cause if you read it right it says 100% weapon damage over 10 seconds. so the dot only scales off of weapon damage not crits.
Never said otherwise, I am saying however, build just for the tick is terrible. Even if you tick only does 800k but you have built for crit you will out perform 99% of the builds out there. Despite Pestilence having a tick based talent, it still performs vastly better when build as a normal crit weapon than any other way.
My build uses hollowman, yaahl holster, walker back with unstoppable, and petrov glass cannon, foxs and contractors....I was lucky to find crit holster and a crit hollowman so I'm all red....I tried a walker chest but prefer the handling with 2x petrov
Interesting but personally I think trading the 2nd petrov for a 2nd walker gives more damage per bullet and tick which can increase TTK instead of gaining weapon handling. Also just because Sawyers kneepads do gibmve more damage they aren't best for it because if you move in the slightest you can lose the damage making fox's a better choice even though you lose damage it gives the player mobility
This was one of the builds I tested, Total Sustain came to 798,276, adding in that the Damage/10 bullets barely hit 6 mil, this would put it's total around 7.3 mil, which is not even top 10, 2 W&H does not out perform 2 Petrov due to Ticks adding into most of your sustain, so the quicker you reload and start firing again, the better. 2 W&H is completely beaten by Coyotes Mask alone, and with the overal damage output Sawyers permits, standing your ground to make full use of the buff is not that hard.
@@DodRegnbue no I saw it I just saying that's what I prefer because if I can kill them faster I don't need sustainable damage over time I get both and some what the numbers but it's just my preference. I prefer faster ttk than prolonged damage over time
@@milspec7557 the problem with DTA is that it varies in uptime based on the activity, and you've already got 14% on the build. For heroic missions, you're looking at about 40% armor and 60% health. During boss stages armor will go up, if you're going against BTSU, armor will go down. DTA is most useful in countdown and heroic control points.
Yup so many I found doing this they used handling and 0% CC/CHD and the #1 I saw saying this was KVD🤦♂️ if your bullets are marshmallows and your tick is strong your build is trash.
Yeaaah it's a bit silly to say that - when using a FUCKING GUN - your crit is worthless. It is STILL gonna do bullet damage. However it can be fun to invest in other stats (namely hazpro IMO) if you can find an ok-ish middle-ground. Must admit I was a bit surprised that there was no love for Composure, especially with Sawyers, given how much of an aggro-magnet Pesti builds can be. But numerically of course vigilance will win out. I prefer foxes, personally, over sawyers. They allow for a bit more (quite literal) wiggle-room.
Finally I have found a build messiah. Thank you for your time patience and xpertice.

Tuxedo has a pretty good pestilence build with 80percent handling and good survivability.
