Beautiful model by arrows. I hate that grandpa Gary I know that’s a sinking feeling for that to happen whether it be a maiden or it be the 50th flight on one. I’m sure you’ll like it. Great again you take care brother.

Plenty of runway. What got you was the tendency us rc pilots have of landing right in front of ourselves instead of at the beginning of the runway. If I'm in doubt, I'll go to the end of the runway to takeoff, stay there for the flight, then when I land right in front of myself, like we tend to do, I've got the whole runway to roll out on. Live and learn, time to get out the glue. Can't wait to see it back in the air. Keep em flying!

  • @GBLynden

You did great Gary! Flying that jet there left little margin for error and that snow got in the way of a better approach. Glue and TLC will get that amazing sounding EDF Jet back in the air soon 👊🏻💥👊🏻

Awesome plane and flight Gary! I'm amazed with the Eflight F-15 how it floats, and how much it can slow down in the air. I usually move closest to the side of the runway where I want to touch down. It gives me the perspective I need so I don't land long..... (I have a 4' fence at the end of my runway) Love what you do and always enjoy your enthusiasm and positive spirit! Can't wait to see you fly that beauty again soon!

Man your a good sport bro 👍 we all been there , and if someone say they hadn't than they never flew a jet bro big or little . Well foam is and can be very forgivable . I get another fuselage just just to keep the damage on for repair parts . Hopefully the landing gear servo retract spinbar and little things inside the retract is good , hope to see it back up soon 👍 OH I like that remote glove man do it keep the remote warm because I know the screen fuzzy up from the cold and it's hard to see things on the remote when the screen gets cold.

Are you able to reverse the fans once you touch down? There has to be a device to reverse a three phase motor.

That’s a small runway for any of us flying jets. I think it’s time to accept the cross winds and switch up that runway to the much longer side for your jets. At our field here in Charlotte NC, they built our runway East to West so we have a cross wind one way or another 90% of the time so it’s definitely something we deal with every time we fly. Rudder!

Of the nearly 36,000 airports around the world that are classified as civil, military, or joint-use, approximately 3,800 are used for scheduled commercial service. Worldwide, an estimated 2,000 aircraft arresting systems are installed at facilities in 64 countries. The highest concentration of these systems is on military runways or where the military is a major tenant of a commercial airport. Commercial operators mainly encounter these systems at joint commercial-military airports or when operating charters to military airfields. If the nosegear spray and gravel deflectors used on some commercial airplanes come in contact with the arresting systems, the deflectors could shatter, creating foreign object debris (FOD). In extreme cases, the FOD could damage a critical airplane system.

I would never put a spektrum AS3X receiver on a PNP airplane. AS3X receives work of aircraft specific program software. They are typically not universal.
I would put a universal platform in my pnp planes like a lemon scrub plus receiver... designed to be put into any airplane and the level can be re-set with a switch position anytime.
They are much cheaper and easy to set up.

Sorry you crashed! Never forget--takeoffs are optional; landings are mandatory!
