- Trey Gunn on tour in Poland with TU (+Pat Mastelotto). Charming life of the professional musician. Does a run through of the tricky-bits in 21st Century Schizoid Man by King Crimson.

I love how he calls his Warr guitar "the beast", it's a pretty good description
he makes it look so easy :O
This is great man, awesome stuff.
That is a beautiful instrument.
That was kickass! I hope to hear TU play that someday.
Love the Gunn.
the incredible thing listening and watching this video two years later is i could swear I've heard recordings of Keith Emerson playing a very similar complicated melody on his Hammond organ... now I have to go searching for that but bravo Trey I
You are truly the leader of the pack :)
Trey is out of this world
trey gunn is the best
Maestro !!
all i can say is that he is a freakin genius
It's a strip of nonslip padding that you often see under the cushion of a futon or under a rug, except his is well worn and torn up from a lot of use apparently. When tapping with two hands it's used to mute the open string so it doesn't errantly sound all the time.
O.O amazing
that was just cool
Wow, that is a really fantastic arrangement for only one touch instrument. Long live King Crimson!
Master and masterpiece!!!!!!! KC RUlez
Cool - sounds great even unplugged - I can only imagine what it would sound like plugged with the rest of the band!
greath !
Impressive
@HaydenFromHell Trey Gun is two of my favorite players.
Damn I'd like to hear this with amp and rest of the band.
just simply awesome ... I've watch this vid many times since it was posted. Always thought I should get a WARR - I think the guy who makes em lives near me -- time to find out if that's true.
Weird blue eyes. Cheers, huge Trey.
wow
:O it is HIM ! in youtube !
Er, well, the words "FUCKING WOW!" spring to mind for some reason.............More?!
The fun starts at 01:35 :)
hey i think i saw you in 'the office" no?
salut my friend
Piece of some kind of cloth, might be shoelace, or piece of rope. Anyway if you wanna tap you have to mute strings and thats what it's for.
ahah its like a chapman stick XD
ech, mialem na koncert isc i nie dalem rady... ani do Opola pojechac... szkoda.
No pun intended, but that was beastly!
I've never heard someone make a slapping sound with hammer-ons. Or maybe I've never noticed. Either way, radical riffs man.
+Aaron Walker kind of the main point behind a warr guitar. thick sounds from tapping on it.
Who needs to strum?
Hey they sound pretty sweet unplugged too!
And I waaaaaant ooooonnnnneeeFHUIOEHNUIDOHNUJ!!!!! XO I don't care if they're heavy, I went to high school.
pitty the guy didn't plug it...
2:11 O_O
haha strange dude
my dad knew you!!!! Al Jenkins!!!!
Trey is first. Trey is second. It's kind of a joke with two handed Warr tapping you know.

So you reckon that Trey Gunn "seems like a nice guy", huh?
Well, "nice" may well be the appropriate word to describe him, as that word was originnaly used (from the 14th to the 16th centuries) to describe someone who is "foolish" and "fatuous"!
So, all in all, you'll find that, rather than listen to your "nice" Trey Gunn, a sensible person would invariably choose to listen to a not so "nice" Fripp!
I can't imagine what thought process, exactly, influenced Robert Fripp to select this fatuous prat to become a member of King Crimson. However, I can well imagine that that same thought process must also have influenced him to hound Bill Bruford out of the band.
All of which merely goes to show that Robert can be much too clever for his own good.
