nice! perfect song to get with that really clear production. kurt and krist did a lot of funny things with key changes and how the melodies kind of weaved through them. was a lot to do w how they set up the hooks, thered be like a new chord and the melodic notes would pick from ones that fit between the different progressions , but w different shading. Then the repetitions and it kind of came out nice and clean when it needed to, without being too contrived. Even there simplest songs still kind of had this formula.
Got to say when I discovered this song in 1995 on a bootleg cd, I took a lot of solace from this song of just kurt in a room with a cassette recorder, describing the same feelings I was having as a lonely, unsure 14 year old. I think this and big long now are the most emotive nirvana songs. Love blandest too.
