Hi Ryan, as an Irishman with zero experience in the services I still love your show and take so much from hearing the mindsets and experiences of the men and women you speak to.
This weekend I was in Dublin and got talking to a guy from Ohio in a Ranger cap who was visiting family in Ireland. Got talking about his experiences (Both Iraq conflicts and tours of Afghanistan - True Warrior with a good heart) and he even opened up on his post service struggles how he overcome them to lead sales teams now and earn enough to bring his family to Ireland and Europe each year. Would never have had the notion nor the cahoonies to approach a guy like that before your show and as an Irishman I thanked him for his Service to us too which he really appreciated.
Thanks so much for what you bring with this podcast and I hope you understand how far reaching it is. Keep doing what you're doing.

David...you have nothing to apologize for on that last answer given at 'tail end Charlie' of the show.
I've answered very similarly, and I've hesitated in so doing at the same point in my answer... likely for the same reasons.
We are who watches us brush our teeth in the mirror each morning. We would not have that Mirror Man with his experience and sage internal monologue of advice for us, had he not once humped that WHOLE trail.
A shorter trail with better manicured edges would have forged prettier feet.
I may have retired a Combat Rescue Aviator a few years ago, with over 3,000 hours in an Air Force MC-130P cockpit...but MY feet?
They were first cracked open on Sand Hill. C 2/58.
    "O Hail O Hail - the InfanTRY
    ' Queen o'Battle....FOLLOW ME!"
Those ugly feet sharpened the eyeballs in that Chair Force sheepskin covered Flight Engineer seat, as said eyeballs scanned the terrain below for Mr. "Jack", the IP on deck in need of an UberX.
It all fell into place on your timeline because it was supposed to.
I say that to you as if I now what the fuck I am talking about, Half of me is talking TO me, trying to convince myself that I'm not full of shit about that.
But the other half is pretty solidly trackin'.
I heard the conflicted "I did good things" in the tone of "a lot of carnage lay behind us as we moved out"
You have no idea how many others sound the exact same way inside. I know what to listen for because it ain't the first time and it won't be the last. One day, someone stopped me mid sentence and pointed out the sound it makes when it ehoes.
It echoes all over the place. From m Da Nang based uncle's house to the patch of grass south of the high school by the church where my great uncle's headstone is inscribed along with his dates of service and campaigns.
They had to ask the same question at some point. Would I reshuffle that deck if I cold go back in time?
If I were a betting man, I'd bet that butterflies have an effect, and I'd not push my luck thinking about complex stuff best left with God's Head Shop Chief up at H-2.
Let that chode lose sleep over shit like that. We're gonna be too busy keeping Brothers from reporting up there too early (my count, unfortunately so far, is 8).
You picked a black diamond run for your first trail, and kept on shreddin'' it sounds like. Be proud of that, Most everyone else doesn't know why there's a pair of socks draped across the top of your ruck catching some sun and some breeze.

It's about time some of the Ranger stories start to be told. So it's all good brother. thank you for what you're doing. Can't wait to get home and watch the documentary. RLTW 3/75

    I'm just saying...
It's amazing that it's always, 'Black Hawk Down', that is the 'inspiration movie', for joining the rangers.
No one ever mentions the movie 'Con-air'. That movie actually tells what the regiment is all about.
    Again, I'm just saying...
    Persistence is key

This is why I say. No shatter what the politics are for our Armed forces going into combat. We must unequivocally support our Armed Forces! They don’t get to be voted for. Politicians do! They are simply doing their duty on our behalf! Our support for our Armed Forces should always be unequivocal!

Has anyone ever noticed every guy who served overseas was “involved” in Op. Red Wings?
Has anyone ever heard a Marine speak ill of the US Army but most soldiers on social media have something to say about the USMC?
They don’t own an EGA. Live with choices you made.
