I just purchased some things. This broke my heart because I'm a single parent as well. I just imagined this being my son next year. I have been saving for over a year and will continue to save to make sure his senior year next year is everything he wants. Hope this brings you some relief and your son some joy.
Your Ex must not have a job. The state of Georgia can easily find where he works an garnish his wages and suspend his license if he owes the amount of child support you said he does.
If he is like my daughter's ex, they will work jobs where he gets paid under the table. And when he does get a job that they find out about, they take so long to do anything about it that he's moved on to another job. Finding these deadbeat dads is a very low priority for states unfortunately.
That’s why I called them and they said they have done everything they can and will do on their end and that they don’t have a task force for it 🤷🏻♀️ I told them he must be working under the table and she didn’t say anything. His license is suspended and has been for a long time now.
Yep!!! It’s unfortunate, but that’s what’s happening and they can’t do anything about it 😭

The state of Arkansas wouldn’t help me with child support. I called and called more than once a week every week and insisted they put a warrant out for him until they finally did. He does pay me now but he owes thousands in back pay. Our kids are adults and he is still paying me for all those years. 💜
As a single mom of 3 with absolutely no help from their father for 9 years, I could say word for word exactly how you are feeling... my daughter just graduated on Saturday... we(my family and I) couldn't afford to give her a big party... we didn't even give her a big sweet sixteen... she has missed out on those milestones, but you know what? She is the absolute smartest, most loving, and caring person... a party didn't make her feel loved or appreciated... we did... and even if you can't throw a huge party, know that the party won't make him feel any more loved than what he does by you showing up every day for him. That's what matters! He is already blessed. Please don't beat yourself up.... you are in the same boat as soooo many other mothers out here... our children aren't missing out... they are just being shown love differently, and that's okay!

Have you applied as a cashier? Grocery stores are always hiring. Any money is better than no money, while you are looking for something else.
She said in one of her blogs if she did that she’d end up making even less or about equal because it will take away from her TH-cam responsibilities (recording, editing, etc). Plus, she wouldn’t be around for the kids, so it’s not worth it unless you know somewhere that’s hiring a cashier at $25/$30/hr! 😆 In that case, let me know too!!!
They have videos on TH-cam that tell you how much money Contant creators make. It will blow you away the money they make from these videos. 😮

I was a single mom for awhile too, and we had to sacrifice so many things. I'm sure your son understands that this is impossible. You have given him the most important thing on this Planet, your love and support. Graduation is what's important, not the party afterward. I had to scrimp and save for my daughters graduation party and we had to have it the month after her actual graduation, but you know what, it was all good. My daughter understood as I know your son does too. He knows you would do it if you could. How about family members like grandparents and such maybe helping out? Isn't that an option? I'm sorry for your financial situation, but you're a great mom and I know he understands.

Hi Jill. It may be too late for your son, but have you watched the cash envelope stuffing videos on TH-cam. I'm a single mom with no support either. Cash envelope stuffing has saved me. For example, if you want to have a party for Ava's time, you can start putting $10/week or $20/mth in an envelope for Ava to accumulate for that time. I do an envelope all year for Christmas, one for birthdays, one for emergency and so on. Believe me, it's a life saver!
He started doing this just this year. Someone gifted me a Dave Ramsey book and I’ve been doing my very best and haven’t strayed away from my budget unless it’s something the kids need 🩷
I was raised by a single mama and my Dad did bare minimum so this resonates with me. I know it's so hard to ask for help! Got a few things for him for his party and I am so very happy I am able to help out! Sending so much love! 🦋🦋🦋🦋

I feel bad that you had to make this video, but you really need to get a lawyer even if it’s through Legal Aid or whatever it’s called there, and take that sperm donor to court! He must be a real piece of work ?? The state if made to will take his drivers license and if bad enough, put him in jail for back child support, all states have laws for deadbeat dads and moms to pay for their children! And it makes no difference if the child has passed the age of 18, you are still entitled to the child support.
Don’t blame yourself we are all doing what we can to just survive in this world. You do the best that you can, and then give it to God.

@@MissGreenEyesyou can take him to court for what he owes!! Currently dealing with the same thing in Georgia. My son’s dad is already on child support through the state and DFCS isn’t helping even though he owes thousands. Talked to a lawyer and she walked me through the process.

I’ve already called and they said they said they can’t do anything more than what they’ve done so far, which is still nothing, but is license is suspended.
Hard to believe they can’t garnish his pay. I guess he doesn’t work or he works under the table just so he doesn’t have to pay. Get an attorney to go after him, you can get legal aid. And, your children are old enough to know what a dead beat he is. They should want nothing to do with him since he won’t help support them. My stepdaughters ex is the same way, but she had him locked up for nonpayment of child support. She’s in PA, he’s in NJ.
I'm so upset on your behalf that his dad is not stepping up. Go after him as much as you can through the court system. The sun coming out is a sign that God will find a way. Just know we will support you guys.

I’ve been in that situation, no morral support no financial help from their Dad, no graduation parties, no driving lessons or cars etc. I worked full-time, overtime and still struggled to have one week holiday per year in a local caravan park. It’s hard girl, I know sweetie. My kids have been let down time and time again by their excuse of a Dad. Please know you are the BEST MUM you can ever be, truly. I wish you all the best and hope your boy gets the party he so very much deserves. I will donate what I can when I get paid at the end of the month. I wish I could do more. My heart goes out to you ❤

My mom was a single, teen, parent. No help from my "dad" almost my entire life. I know how difficult it was for my mom not to be in a position to give me a great party. We were fortunate to get some help from my grandma and my aunt, without them I would have had no party at all. I am glad you reached out for help, that takes courage and vulnerability. Sadly, I don't live in the US so Venmo won't work for me. Is there another way I can help? The Amazon thing doesn't work either because I'm in another country. I raised my 2 boys without child support, too. My government support dept tried everything to get payment from him and still nothing. My boys are both over 30 now, so I'm on the other side of the crisis but I feel your pain, Jill.

I know how you feel. My son had not seen his father in 11 years. He graduated in 2022 from high school. I text his father when graduation was and he said that he would be there. Two days later he passed of a heart attack. I have always been a single mom with zero assistance from his father even when he was living. My heart aches for these babies.
