great video, thank you. i own it and love it. even though the scale is not perfect, the support they are giving is awesome, i have no regrets over buying an Acaia. Could you explain how the Bean function works as there is no manual and you seem to have figured it.
I've shot my first impressions on this beans section update th-cam.com/video/kS31MF50tZA/w-d-xo.html Basically you add them, then when you want to brew some coffee, you tap on it and enter the dose. After the brewing it'll update the amount of coffee. But there is more ways on how it could be used)
How do you find this scale compared to a timemore mini / basic plus 2? What about the build quality (I can't find any info on what the material is for this scale)? This scale cost almost 3 times what a Timemore mini would cost in my area, so I'm wondering if it is worth it
I prefer them over acaia and any other scale except probably Fellow Tally Pro. Build quality - you can see the spots on the display (probably because the layers of material don't perfectly contact). But it's not an issue for me. Timemore is nice, but this one is faster. And I like the speed. Material - plastic, but they're pretty heavy. Feels substantial when lifting. Recent firmware update (7-10 days ago) - they changed the duration that you need to hold the button to turn them on. But with the firmware they started to work more stable. Sometimes they could shift within 0.2g like any other scale, but usually pretty sticky to the measurement. Sometimes I measure the box weight, that's why I need the app. Because it covers the display. As for the alternative - Felicita parallel is still a great choice. Also faster than Timemore. But the app on DiFluid is unbeatable
In a studio I use the previous version, not Ti. And turned off the flowrate to not confuse my co-host) But at home - Ti is a way smoother scale. Though I don't like that they haven't added the option of how long to press the button to turn on and off) But seems comfortable now. And when wiping - they don't turn on accidentally
