    I still remember one of our lola's in cebu are selling this puto with sikwati. lami kaayo, basta ug mumata ko sa buntag muadto dayun ko sa pwesto ni lola para mag breakfast kanang puto ug sikwati.

    This is the correct way of cooking puto maya. Steamed talaga dapat👍para ma maintain ang "graininess ng sweet rice" at di magmukhang durog na parang lugaw.

      Tama ka . Nakita ko lang sa Lola ko yan at sa neighbor namin na pto maya ang kabuhayan .ang mga Japanese may mga glutinous rice recipe din sila at nakikita ko ganito din ang process ng pag luto nila. Ang result ...buo ang rice hindi durog , makintab at masarap .

      Ito ang paraan ang Lola ko gumagawa ng puto maya sa Cebu noong bata pa ako . Oo mas masarap pag dahon ang gamit kaso matatakpan ang mga butas at hindi makapasok ang steam , at matatagalan ang pagluto at may possibility na hindi pantay ang luto ng bigas. Maraming salamat.

      Actually this is the way my mother cooks puto maya, "Steamed " only because its commercial we don't put cloth. We used this "made to order steamer".We grated the ginger and mix it with the coconut milk .

      @Nori Zie , hindi sya matamis at hindi rin maalat just enough na may lasa ang puto kasi normally pinaparisan ng hinog na manga or mainit na sikwate ( tableya hot chocolate drink) . Ang iba nilalagyan ng asukal habang kinakain pag walang manga or sikwate. Ito ang nakikita ko at na experience ko sa Cebu when I was a teenager. Kapitbahay namin nagbebenta ng puto maya hangang ngayon.

      This is how my grandmother cooked her sticky rice , and here in Japan this is the method when they cook their rice recipe . This way the rice is cooked evenly, not broken , not wet , beautiful and shinny pag luto na . Maraming paraan sa pagluto ng sticky rice . In this video pinapakita ko ang best method ( for me ) .
