Great day for soccer, and a fantastic day for a W!!! Shout out to Mihailovic for the 2 great goals late in the match to get the 3 points. This is what we've wanted to see. We've scored in every game (except Houston), stayed in each match, and capitalized on opportunities when we had them...amazing! Down to Miami, with confidence, we go! Go Rapids❤💙

@@ianpatin5474 Our keeper situation is weird right now. Horvath is the best overall but not chosen, Turner has no feet and lacks the experience Horvath has - but is a good shot stopper, and Steffan is the only one getting minutes.

Zack Steffan is pretty good - I know he was shielded by the runner in front of him but he should have gotten a hand on LA's first goal. He should have seen that coming all day with his experience.

Granted I wasn’t there for this game, but the atmosphere compared to other MLS teams, ie Sporting KC, Nashville, Atlanta United seems lame in comparison. Not entirely the fans fault. Stadium location is abysmal.

Great performance by the Rapids. Possibly the best one in a long long time. 100% agree that D Martinez first yellow card is an absolute joke decision made by the ref, but its not an excuse that LAFC should only look at. This season starting momentum has been awful!

Guessing embellishment? From replay angle should be, but if ref didn't see anything and VAR didn't see anything, AND LAFC players aren't swarming ref, I'm assuming it was an attempt to fake contact

From what I saw he DID get kicked, but not very hard and it was in the torso not the head. It would've been a brutal penalty call.

Good to see a Rapids win and i like the call on the Martinez 2nd yellow. MLS and FIFA need to crack down on that crap. So many times the fouling teams continue to creat advantages on these types of kick aways and encroachments of 10yd space. It’s not enforced and continuously slows the run of play and favors the fouling team again.
Excuse me, without justifying Martinez's reaction, if you look closely in the replay the player dropped in the Neimar style, who always throws himself on the grass simulating fouls and the referees fall into that trap

He got a yellow, not a straight red, and it had nothing to do with the foul. Martinez kicked the ball away to waste time and that's an easy call for the ref to give a yellow on

@@kocahmet1That's not what the card was for. The card was for kicking the ball away after, which is delay of game and a yellow card offense all day, every day. Martinez didn't even make any attempt to argue the foul, and there was enough contact that VAR wouldn't overturn the call on the field. That card was as by the book as you'll find.
@tdbsoccer10 that foul couldn't be checked by VAR anyway as it's not a possible red card or penalty. But even if it somehow could be, you're right that the second yellow was for time wasting, so foul or no foul he's off
