But then the battery dies! I like electric tools, but electric chainsaws are pointless. Stihl ms170 gas saws are $190 and run for an hour straight on a cup of gas. You’d need a bag of expensive batteries to do that.
@@cliffordmontana4562ikr, battery powerrd electric tools are just useless and won't last long, if there isn't any electricity around like in the forest tjust use gas powered tool
I just watched a head to head comparison of battery powered chainsaws. This saw was one of them. Weakest of the saws lasted about 2 1/2 minutes before the batteries were drained. The best saw was an Echo it worked for about 8 minutes before giving up the ghost. This Ryobi had about 5 1/2 minutes of useful time. You’d need a whole truck load of batteries to cut up this tree.
Have this exact saw. Just had a storm pass through here yesterday and it down some large branches across the driveway. Was able to carve them up on 1 half battery power, no probs. Neighbor who is a gas hog was very impressed.
I recently let some local tree pro's try my Husqvarna electric tophandle saw and they were blown away. One guy already bought the newer version and the other guy is going to try out Milwaukee before he buys one.
Yeah electric saws these days are really good. Get a name brand, don't order some no-name Amazon thing, and no Hart junk from Walmart. Ryobi, Greenworks, Milwaukee, Husqvarna, Stihl. Get minimum 36v, try to find 40v or higher.
You toooooo... 😂 I'll never buy another GAS POWER RYOBI equipment ever again!!!!! That chainsaw is soooo horrible.... that one time, I couldn't even get it to TURN OFF!
Yeah :)) This tool has a spot in my Forester from late fall till late spring. It actually save my butt few times already. I got an extra battery just in case i run into a fallen trees disasters, but it haven't happened yet. The worst situation was when I had to cut 11 full and trees with bunch of branches and I still had a water of battery life left. I'm really happy with this chainsaw. The fact that I don't have to carry an extra gas with me makes me happier.. cheers.
Finally a tree in the road.
And i have my ryobi
Yeah that's what I was thinking too .. lol
That saw cut that tree faster than the 14 inch Poulan gas saw I had years ago a lot faster electric tool’s have come a long way that’s for sure.
I agree and I can't complain about it. It's definitely more convenient for me..

That's a pro, that's a good saw
I'd say good enough for cleaning smaller fallen trees around a house.. :-)
You a boss with that chain saw and now I think I want one.
Get one 😊
I just used mine yesterday. Works beautifully.
I used mine again this past weekend. still works beautifully after 2 years

Yeah, even my dad was impressed with this little guy :D

i have never even held a chainsaw but after this clip i am very keen to buy one ryobi to cut trees and branches in the garden😀
It would be great for that!

That cuts better than my gas ryobi which is about as effective as karate chopping the tree
You toooooo... 😂

😂😂😂
Did you have to wait till you run out of the gas? LOL
@pavelviktor75
I had to keep playin with it.... and playin with it, eventually it turned off. 😑😑😑😑
Or maybe disconnect the spark plug.. ?
Through the wood in the back your truck now you have firewood!
Right, but my forester was full of camping gear.. and also I work for a woodshop so I have plenty of firewood. Thank you 😊
Throw*
WOOOOWWW 😮😮😮. Tat E-saw chewed through that limb like hot knife through butter. Very impressive. And no oil/gas mix.
Just lube the chain.. that's it
@@pavelviktor75 I have 18V Ryobi tools. I wonder if the 18V chainsaw perform good like the 40V. because I'm sold on this one.
Probably not .. lol
Cuts pretty nicely
Yes. I love this tool 😊
Yes I've been considering this saw with high speed Rev. Looks like he can really get the job done if you know what you're doing.

Yea... I have ryobi equipment. I recommend the blower, hedge trimmers.
And the little battery operated chop saw is fantastic. I do all my trim work with it..
Actually from what I have seen is You're supposed to start on the compression side about 1/2 way and then finish on the tension side ..
Half way would be too much, at least for me.. but 100 people 100 taste.. 😉
Sounds like a dentist's toothbrush
Yeah, it's pretty quiet actually 😊
It actually sounds rather pneumatic like the tools dentists use
The Electrics are coming...
For sure. Get ready.. lol
Some noise produced but much less than a gasoline
That's true. It's definitely more convenient for my occasionally use.. :-)
Which is why I'd go for battery over gas for elimination of noise, fumes and engine maintenance
Wow before this video I thought it was dangerous to use battery powered equipment in the rain. Great video !
use lot of lubrication and you'll be good.. JK. 😅
They really don't have issues with rain. I have used mine in 4-5 rainy situations.
That is impressive as hell..
Yeah, I was really surprised how easy it was.. thanks
You solved your problems easily wow 😍🙋
Thus one was easy lol
Routten wood tend to cutt like butter
I love cutting butter 😅
I'm gettin that today!!! Thank you.
You're welcome. Safety always 3rd.. 😅 JK

Great job💚👏
Having a chainsaw it's kind of important in the beginning of season.. haha
Cool what you have all in your car 😍👌👍💯🙋
Yeah, sometimes I have even a chainsaw, especially when I know there's a lot of fallen trees haha. Thanks buddy

That thing is a beast how is the battery life ?
Pretty good actually, I should do a video test.. ;-)
ill still take petrol saw good job sharpening that chain
It has its advantages. I have a frame saw as well, just in case.. lol
Gas is great, but the electric is great and convenient. I have 2 gas 1 electric
@@BloodyKnives66 that's smart 😊👍
Sounds like a dentist drill
I kinda does, but in reality it's pretty quiete compared with any conventional chainsaw
Thanks gteat tips
Happy to help!
Great saw, but a little too pricy for me !
I thought that the price was pretty good
❤How to Order
Online from Home Depot
Does it leak oil
Just enough to lube the chain 😊
Ryobi crazy

Very Australian 👍✌️👌
That's the way I like it 😉

Really, I had no problem with the battery, at least not yet..
