Wow. This was so much fun working on the will it run project with my son . This may be the longest consecutive time he and I have spent together in a long time. I probably get on his nerves while he is filming , but that keeps him on his toes. He puts heart ,soul, and long hours in the editing of these episodes. I’m thankful he includes me Looking forward to part III !

Aw. The part *spoiler alert* where she struggled up the hill was kind of heartbreaking. She tried so hard!

Really enjoyed these videos awesome 67. Looks really good run it just the way it is. What a strong looking survivor. If you don't already know you can look Vin number up and find out when manufactured may be early 67 model that cone with 66 engine from factory.

Thank you for the kind words. I will pass them along to my dad as well. And yes we're aware that you can do the VIN check and we will probably do that in the future. This car will be back to the channel in the spring of 2024 and we do plan on keeping it as authentic as possible. I love a strong survivor!

Great video !!!! I would get a copy of How To Keep Your Volkswagen Alive,,,by John Muir, A full section on getting your bug started ang much more, plus 67 was first year of 12 volt.... Kenny in Chico, Ca. I have a70 that sat for 15 years in the desert.

You know, I think I have that book somewhere in a closet. I know I've seen it before. It's like a big paperback book. I've had multiple Volkswagens but one of my favorites was a 1970 Yukon yellow with a factory crank open metal sunroof. Thanks for watching my video. I appreciate it!

67’ deck lid doesn’t come to a point . 66’ deck lid does. You have a 67’. Rear bumpers is 67’ also. The towel bar on the bumper angles downward toward the center. I’m guessing that your headlights are round not oval. Also indicating a67’.

Yes the car is definitely a 67. We have round headlights and a 12 volt system. We just aren't sure about the engine because it's got the F code in the case which from what I understand is a 1966 engine. I'm sure the engine has been replaced at some point. Thank you for watching my video. I really appreciate it.
