I don’t agree with those saying these accomplices were pressured into killing Fratta’s poor wife. The other guys at his gym didn’t take him up on his offer of money for murder. They both knew murder was against the law, & without these two scumbags she would still be alive as he obviously didn’t have the balls to kill her himself. They deserve their sentence!

I have a feeling that Tx was waiting for the outcome of the Fratta case (no overturning of verdict) before moving Prystash and Guidry up the list. Prystash is particularly guilty as he solicited the much younger Guidry, provided the firearm and the means of get away. I think only a change of policy in Tx (conversion of death sentences to LWOP) can save them now.

Guidry was the trigger an and confessed to doing the shooting. His confession is on video tape. He walked law enforcement through details of the crime that only the shooter would know. He also identified the middle man. He later rescinds his confession and claims it was coerced. A judge ( in my opinion, a very liberal judge ) , stays his execution ( and may have tried to throw out his death sentence) . In her ruling she in essence said she believed Guidry was telling the truth and all of the law enforcement officers were lying . Her ruling completely ignores the evidence of the middle man who hired Guidry . The scenario highlights the problem of judges with agendas ( e.g. anti death penalty) . judges , on the trial court but in particular appellate judges should just follow the law.

Guidry was only 19. Yes he did have a rap sheet but was manipulated by Fratta who probably laughed behind his back. All the time Fratta was going to blame the accomplices if,they got caught. Guidry should do life in prison. He cooperated and took the detectives to the crime scene and how it was done. They should’ve cut a deal with him

He’s still the one who pulled the trigger. At 19 you’re mature enough to know that shooting someone in the head is completely wrong. And what’s worse is he went back to shoot her the second time to ensure she is dead. Just shows how selfish and cold hearted he is to take away her life just for money. It’s hard to feel sorry for him.

When someone is found guilty of a crime and is sentenced to death I would like to see the following happen:
The prisoner is placed in a prefab, 10' by 10' cell. The cell is placed on a truck and transported to a site where there is existing plumbing and electric ready to be connected.
The prisoner is allowed one book. They eat two meals a day, in their cells. They are allowed a radio, but no tv. They do not have access to a library, a gym, or any kind of education.
They are allowed no visitors. They do not send or receive mail. To the outside world they cease to exist. The guards do not speak to them.
The next prisoner is brought to the same site and his or her cell is attached to any existing cells.
