So happy to see this video and to know that my husband is the referee (slow motion part of video) shown. Makes me so proud. He said: love it, gives me the chills. That's how much this video means to him. What a great movie!
I just got done watching this, Mr. Watson. My humble thanks for this. A tribute to your creative work. The Innocence of what used to be. i am tearing up while I type this. The Simplicity of life lived, life exhibited, life revisited. Too late to go back,,,,but not too late to remember. I commend you on this artful piece. Only God knows how much,,,I miss those times. Thank you, Sir.
Not just a great sports movie, a great life story. Real, about as real as it could get for a hollywood movie. No awards, just voted by fans as the best sports movie ever. May not ever be duplicated ever again, anywhere.
........As a huge fan of this film (I am 64yrs. old) & born in 1952, an ex playground & high school player......I am now crying (yes-and I am not afraid to admit it) this "little film" might be the best thing I have ever seen on TH-cam. In a world in chaos, watch this movie closely-it returns you to what really is important in life. Sports can be such a positive experience emotionally & physically. It is a blueprint for life, on any level, or no matter what your ability. That is why someone like Peyton Manning will be asked (like Joe Montana)ten years from now " what do you miss about THE GAME?" and the answer is not ($$$$$$) it is "being around the game & the ups & downs".God Bless & thank you to the person who posted it.
I was blessed to work with the Indiana University Men's Basketball team in the 1990s. The scene where the Milam team visits Butler Fieldhouse before the State Championship game reminds me of the quiet, contemplated way the IU teams visited the gyms of other teams for games. I particularly remember a IU practice in Hartford Connecticut before the NCAA Div. 1 Sweet 16 game against Kansas in 1991. Thank you for posting this video. It brings back a lot of memories from Indiana and Texas where I now live. (I just watched the end of your video, and it brought back one more memory. I worked as an athletic trainer for 20 years in Texas at a few different high schools, and the teams I worked with won 6 State Championships, but "Hoosiers" and your video reminds me of our first State Championship at Elkins HS in Missouri City, Texas outside of Houston, in 1995, when we won the State 5A Baseball Championship at UT field in Austin.) The excitement and sense of accomplishment was exactly like the movie portrayed it. God I love this movie.
This is absolutely great. I drove from Upstate NY to Milan a few years ago and even met one of the players, but THIS brings it all back. Thank you for a true nostalgic treasure. I hope it serves to keep this story alive...our nation needs it.
Robert Head thank you for your kind words. My father drove me to all of the locations but I planned it out, shot and edited the entire film myself. That's me and my dad at the end.
Amazing!!! Very well done. This brought me to tears. Basketball was my life as I grew up in a small farming town of 200 in rural Utah. I would give anything to go back in time as a teenager with just a ball, a hoop and big dreams. Thank you Mr. Watson for all your time and talents on this.
This was wonderful. Thank you for the trip down movie memory lane and the glimpse into history! You guys should have won the academy award for best documentary! 😁
Amazing! And I thought I needed therapy after shedding tears while watching this masterpiece. A fantastic then and now presentation. Hope to make it out there in person some day. Dream come true. Thanks Michael.
As a video editor that has done very well I am humbled by this piece. I have never seen such a masterful work and I am talking at all levels. How you captured the emotion, video and flavor is 2nd to none. I stumbled across this and I am a total loss for words. I have done this kind of stuff for 40 plus years and only wish I had something to compare. I only hope someday to be able to meet the person who did this work as in this instance Mr. Watson you are the master.....
This video reached down inside my heart and made me fight back tears! It's art in it's finest form. Also makes me wish we had a one class basketball system again. It took me on a journey about how life use to be and how it is today.(Standing Ovation)
This is one of the best videos I have ever watched. I can't say enough for how much I enjoyed it. The camera angles, the locations, all of it was absolute perfection. I am so thankful to those involved in creating this.
Beautifully done work. I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Wood when he coached at St. Mary’s College and he was an amazing man, even in the face of multiple battles with cancer.
Born n raised a Hoosier. Thats how basketball was growing up. I thought the editing was awesone. You captured everything, every pivotal spot. Thanks for creating this
Beautiful. I watched the movie again this weekend and nearly cried, and almost did watching this. Much the same story happened here in 1978 when a team from little Dumas, Ark., with a coach who had been given a second chance, led his team to a state championship and then a state Overall championship over mighty Little Rock Parkview. 'Hoosiers' always made it more special and so has your film. Thank you!
I just had the opportunity of a lifetime to get a private tour of this wonderful gym over the holidays a few weeks ago simply because one of the trustees of the building lives across the street and saw we were peeking through the glass The people in charge of preserving this building are passionate about it and take it very seriously. It's what keeps Knightstown, Indiana on the map. Your work is exceptional capturing the essence of small town basketball in Indiana. As a born Hoosier, I thank you for your wonderful work and sharing it with us!
Alissa Moore I am from Xenia, Ohio and drove the 65 miles on I 70 to Knightstown to visit the GYM. I actually shot some baskets and could visualize the movie again like shooting a free through like Ollie. It reminded me of some of the smaller gyms north of me in Minster or St. Henry Ohio where the whole town follows the team. What a feeling.
Games are still played in historic 'Hoosier Gym', and I was blessed to watch my son and his team from La Lumiere win a game on that floor this past Friday; That night, we happened upon the Indiana Pacers celebrating "Hickory Game Night" in Hickory jerseys vs. Orlando. The 'Hickory' theme in the arena was EVERYWHERE! Next day, we visited Hinkle Fieldhouse to take in a few moments at an incredible Indiana hardwood shrine! Came home to watch the movie, not remembering the Central Bears from South Bend (where my son and I were born and raised, and a school where John Wooden coached) was prominently featured in the movie finale! A GREAT Weekend!
The best "Then And Now" presentation I've seen on the inet. I'm not just talking TH-cam. A remarkable compilation. Whoever you are who put this together should contact the owner of Copyright to get this included into the future releases of "Bonus Features." This was outstanding.
Hoosiers - best sports movie EVER made. Hoosiers Revisited is superb. I am glad that it found me. When I was a kid, I lived to play basketball. I lived in rural western Pennsylvania and it was soooo cold during the winters of the 1960’s and early 70’s. I had a hoop in the barn where we could at least escape the snow. I spent hours on end shooting at that hoop hoping to do great things in high school. Fortunately there were other kids having the same hopes and we came together to be a championship team capturing our community’s hearts and imaginations for a few magical months. That was my HOOSIERS. Thanks for HOOSIERS REVISITED. It is riveting.
And one of the great motion picture soundtracks in history, certainly for a sports film, composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith. Used endlessly by ABC Sports. A story of hope, trust and redemption that continues to touch people's hearts.
One of the best videos I've ever seen on TH-cam. Thanks Michael Watson for creating this incredible short film. Hoosiers is the best sports movie of its kind ever. Before my time, when America was a far different place.
One of the best videos these eyes have ever seen! I had memories of all the times I watched the movie before all my junior and sr high school games. I teach now and show Hoosiers every year. I am always amazed at how many don't know the best movie of all time! Thanks for all you guys have done, this is amazing.
I just discovered this wonderful short film and it brought back a lot of memories. When I was a Sophomore at Lafayette Jeff, I was in Hinkle Fieldhouse to see what I knew would be the final games for Marion Crawley to coach. I knew several of the people in this movie and was at the first ever showing of the completed movie , the afternoon before the showing for the Governor. I still have the program for that event. Several years after the movies was released I went to many of the locations to take photos of angles I remembered from the movie, and made calendars to give to family and friends for Christmas. Thank you Michael Watson for such a special and well done trip down memory lane.
I'm from Western Ohio, just 11 miles from the Indiana border. But there has always been an allure to the mystique of Indiana basketball to me. This is a fantastic little revisit to one of my favorites. Well done.
Im gonna say that I think the Hickory gymnasium is the most iconic basketball gymnasium of all time. Even when I saw this in the theaters in '86, that gym had a charm to it that stuck with me. I still feel that charm today. I'm glad it hasn't changed much! Also, I rarely "Like" any videos because my Liked videos list is very particular. But the amount of work and dedication that went into this video is nothing short of remarkable. Add in the innocence and honesty, the time capsule of Hoosiers, and this video easily earned and deserves a Like. Thank you for putting this together.
Absolutely brilliant! Thank you for doing this and sharing it with everyone. This is a great behind the scenes look of the scenery of my all-time favorite movie.
Beautiful movie, and beautifully done sir. Thank you for putting this together and bringing back so many great memories of this masterpiece. Brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it.
This is absolutely phenomenal. I’m 41 now and was raised on this film. Before every season I played in Jr and Sr High my Dad and I would sit down and watch this film. Thank you.
This is amazing. Stumbled across this...and I am so glad that I did. This is one of those movies that I can watch over and over again. Seeing it from this videos perspective was good stuff. Thanks guys
That is the most stunning piece of composite video I have ever seen on TH-cam. What an incredible effort. My hat is off to you. As a native of Indiana, who once interviewed composer Jerry Goldsmith, and who was a cheerleader in two of the gyms used in the movie, I am misty-eyed. Thanks, again, for your incredible video.
This is amazing to me. I grew up near New Richmond and my grandparents as well as my brother's family still live there. I drive through town each time I go home and always think of Coach Dale entering town and making the turn north. I love seeing each aspect of the film shown against the current state. Very beautifully done. Thank you!!
Breathtakingly beautiful! I cannot tell how much this video means to me. I was born in Indiana and learned to love basketball there. Hoosiers has been such a special movie to me. My ninth grade basketball coach had our team watch together. So many memories and emotions each time I watch it. This video is such a perfect finishing touch and tribute to one of my favorite and dearest movies. Absolutely beautiful!
My father played for the Marion Giants (Marion, IN) in the 50's. Every time I watch Hoosiers, a thought of my father is in my mind and a slight tear in my eye. Your film did the same thing. Simply amazing; and thank you.
Outstanding! Thank you so much for making this video. Well done. I attended Bible School at the Elizaville Church shown back in 1961 when I was 10 years old. Also, I was an extra in the film and appear at the 9:43 minute mark where Ollie is hosted up on the shoulders of his teammates. I am on the right side of the screen. Great Job!!!
What an incredible piece of work Michael. My oldest son plays basketball and just loves the sport. His middle school team had an end of the year party today and the coach ordered pizza and they watched Hoosiers. I told him it's the greatest sports movie ever made (thank you so much David Anspaugh). The movie just touches me everytime I watch it. I can't wait to show my son "Hoosiers" revisited. Thanks again. Outstanding job.
Watched this movie since I was 10 years old I never get sick of it still one of my favorites I've watched it so many times it never gets old to me when I watch it.
Absolutely incredibly, indelibly, creatively, awesomely, splendiferous! Thanks so much for this Mr.Michael! 10+ Rating. Wish you could send it to all the actors of the movie to get their take on it! Great job!
I've spent way too much time on TH-cam over the years, but I must say this is an all time great of any production I've ever seen. The level of detail you went to with this is amazing and this is the exact type of video I've been looking for about Hoosiers. Very nicely done. That ending team shot in particular was especially touching.
One of my all-time favorite movies! All of those who have been a member of a championship team can understand the eternal bond that is forged by this kind of win. It lasts forever. Congrats to the producers of this video and to the members of this unforgettable team. You are truly inspirational.
I am fortunate to have lived all my life in a community that embodies Hoosier Hysteria like Milan. Loogootee, IN. This video is tremendous and very moving, as I can relate coming from small school that came close to being another Milan. We made it to Hinkle Final 4 in '70, and made State Final game in '75, only to lose to mighty Marion. Everytime I watch Hoosiers it takes me back and to present since this town is Hickory like. Michael Watson did fantastic job on this video.
Beautiful video. Well Done. I never noticed before how in the movie they covered up the Hinkle fieldhouse center court scoreboard in black until looking at the present day image at 11:05. I learned something new, thank you.
You did a GREAT job on this video, Michael!! I don't spend much time looking at TH-cam videos, but I'm sure glad to have seen this one. There are moments during your film that I definitely had goosebumps. Way to go!!! ~Scott
This is absolutely wonderful. I was amazed..... not a lot has changed since the movie was made. Hell, it looks as though the buildings have been frozen in time. Looks as though nothing has changed since the 1950's in that part of America. Wow.... if only the world was as simple today as it was back then. Great video here. Today's movies use way too much cgi and back drops. Most buildings aren't even real. So when I saw your video I was absolutely blown away. Thank you for the time travel.... and to think.... No Delorean Needed.
Michael, i just saw your short film for the first time and am amazed. TRULY BRILLIANT. I hope in some way, shape or form you recieved some acclaim for this, even if just from all the people around the world (like me) who consider this one of the best movies/stories ever made..great job!
What a great movie it was, and what a great tribute this Hoosiers Revisited is. Raised in Indiana where basketball was so much more than a sport, this movie is so special to me. Thanks for going back for another look. God bless!
Thank you, thank you!!! Your work and production is top notch.. absolutely outstanding! Brought me chills, tears, and aching nostalgia for those innocent days...
I made my own version of "Hoosiers Revisited" several years ago, using our high school team. I even "stalked" Gene Hackman in a Dayton, Ohio bookstore when he was about to discuss his Civil War book at the time. As he popped out the elevator surrounded by state troopers, I filmed him, shouting "Coach Norman Dale, we're revisiting 'Hoosiers'..." It got a chuckle out of him, and is in our little film. I had to dub in the words, "What's the matter?" and "Okay, you take the last shot..." to Joe, one of the best players ever at our school, who in the climactic clip, hit the last shot. The original film inspired the heck out of anyone who ever saw it. In '89 we went to the State Final Four, and played in the championship game in '91, losing by a basket in both games. When those boys were freshmen, I spliced each one of them hitting a bucket into the film, replacing Jimmy as the hero... to give them the thrill of what it would be like. "Hoosiers" was such a motivating epic movie to anyone who ever saw it! Years later Joe's dad, the head coach, returned again twice to the Final Four. In the interim, I've been to a few of the Indiana gyms where Hoosiers was filmed, but Michael Watson has created an absolute masterpiece with his "Revisited". My father and uncle, twin brothers, coached high school basketball in the 1950s in Ohio, so I have a great fondness and respect for that era. Hats off to Mr. Watson. His movie should be in the Indiana HS Hall Of Fame in New Castle.
Corn Pop it is! I was just there visiting the HOF today and there is a lovely display honoring the movie Hoosiers, and the actual school- And this excellent video that he made is playing on the screen:) It was so good that I when I came home I was still thinking about it and searched for it on YT to watch again!
Great film! I got to finally go to Hinkle Fieldhouse just this last Friday night for the first time. I was 10 when Hoosiers was released, and it is the greatest sports movie of all time. I’m now 43, and I got to be in Hinkle with my Dad and my little boy. We even got to go on the floor after the game. This made me tear up a little. Thanks for posting!
Excellent complement, and compliment, to the original HOOSIERS. Many thanks for making this and posting it. I've never set my Tar Heel in Indiana, but now I have to go!
There is something about Hoosiers....and this short film.....that makes a somewhat cynical middleaged man stop and watch and at the end ....tear up....just a little.....
I was fortunate several years ago to visit New Richmond, Indiana and several communities in the area where " Hoosiers " was filmed. A blessed experience. The only negative was that the Post Mistress at the time in New Richmond, who acted as a liaison between the town and the movie company told me that the townspeople allowed the movie company to borrow and use many items from the original team. When the movie company finished local filming and left the area the items were not returned. A sad commentary on the actions of the Hollywood people.
WOW! That was mesmerizing...You've answered so many questions I had. I wonder if this places they filmed still existed...I'm sure lots of people were curious..This movie came out when was a freshman in high school...We all wanted to be those guys...What a movie!
Excellent job, first rate. I agree this should be part of the Blu-Ray special Edition. I have never said this before about a then and now piece. But I think this is the best of them all.
I humbly say to you it was an honor to view your incredible work. This was magnificent on multiple levels.
So happy to see this video and to know that my husband is the referee (slow motion part of video) shown. Makes me so proud. He said: love it, gives me the chills. That's how much this video means to him. What a great movie!
Love this video so much. Thank you for taking the time to put it together

I absolutely love this video. Thanks for putting it together. I went and shot hoops at the Knightstown Hoosier Gym today. Always a treat.
This is flat out the best video I have seen on youtube. You sir, have a gift. Thanks for sharing it. Incredible, just incredible.
An Amazing Then and Now piece! Wonderfully made. Something that I could over and over. Well done!

Amazing! Such a great tribute to one of the greatest movies of all time. Thank you!
This is awesome! I'm from Indiana and love this movie. I plan on driving down to Milan this summer and check out the gym.
When someone has a passion for something to the extent of this, it is truly a beautiful thing. Thank you for your hard work to put this together.
Great job!
One of my all time favorite movies and stories.
That was fantastic Michael. A lot of work went into this. One of my all time favourite film's and soundtrack. You did an amazing job, well done.
An all-time classic movie and a very well done and interesting update!
This an absolutely great piece that honors both a town and time in our lives that is truly special. I have been to Milan...and it is magic.
What an incredible experience to share with your father. Very moving to see this. I have shared this with my family and friends.
You my friend are a genius! What an incredible video! Thank you so much!!
An unbelievable piece .. Thank you
Very well done! One of the best revisits of any film I've ever seen.
This video is why TH-cam was created in my opinion. I had goosebumps the whole time watching it. Absolutely fantastic!
Bravo! Well done! A great tribute and you still capture the essence of the movie and the aura around Hoosier mania.
I CANNOT MAKE IT THROUGH THIS WITHOUT CHOKING UP...YOU SIR: NAILED THIS ..!!! IT IS PERFECT..~!! JUST CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THIS MASTERPIECE!!
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Michael Watson you are very welcome!!
+derek moore Me neither, I just can't figure out why! Great work :)

God bless!
My inspiration for my basketball coaching life!
the opening scenes set the tone for the whole movie and it never faltered.
This is one of the best "filming locations" videos I have seen. Well done.
There should be more good movies like this, everything came together, small town, the right music, I see it over and over.
This is one of the coolest things or videos I have ever seen. Wonerful absolutley wonderful. Amazing work
MANY years later, a standing ovation. Thank you.
You did a great, great job with this. The way you matched the shots of the locations now with the movie shots were terrific. Superb!
Thank you, thank you!!! Your work and production is top notch.. absolutely outstanding! Brought me chills, tears, and aching nostalgia for those innocent days...
Absolutely beautiful, inspired idea. Thank you for doing that. Brought back wonderful memories...
Excellent! Thank you for making this.
Thanks for posting!
this was really amazing...and in the true sense of the word...
Excellent complement, and compliment, to the original HOOSIERS. Many thanks for making this and posting it. I've never set my Tar Heel in Indiana, but now I have to go!
wow, this was 18.33 beautiful minutes of my life just now, thanks so much :)
I get a lump in my throat every time I watch Jimmy make that last shot. Thanks! This is great; one of my all-time favorite movies.
There is something about Hoosiers....and this short film.....that makes a somewhat cynical middleaged man stop and watch and at the end ....tear up....just a little.....
Thank you.
Don't worry, I did too (53)
i hear ya !! me to
just wonderful....
I had Goosebumps all over my body amazing video of what Indiana Basketball is all about...The True Hoosier Hysteria
Awesome video! Hoosier's and Shawshank are my two favorite movies of all time. Very cool.
But I think this is the best of them all.
this is so amazing. thank you for doing this!!!
Simply great, thank for the video over one of my favorite films.
Greeting from spain :)
