    Hey Paul. Always look forward to your videos! With other video game content creators dropping like flies, its good to see you going from strength to strength with your content! Your passion for gaming outshines the "game collectors"..... you have always more interesting things to say about your pickups and not collecting games for collecting sake! Keep up the fantastic work 😊

      Wow, ok, so firstly, thanks for watching as always, and secondly your comment has genuinely humbled me and made me smile as everything you've said is exactly how I approach this channel! My gaming and collecting is what drives my channel and stuff I put out, rather than the channel pushing or forcing my collecting. I also think it's important to actually talk about the games as well, just showing a box cover isn't interesting so even if I haven't played something yet, I'll at least have some knowledge of it, as that's why I will have bought it ( bar the odd impulse buys lo), so yeah, as long as I enjoy it, and you guys keep watching, the content will keep on coming! But again, a big genuine thanks for the comment, it's reaffirmed my faith that I'm at least doing somethings right!

    Hi Paul, congrats on reaching 1K subs by the way mate. Just wondering if you’ve ever played Skyrim? I don’t know if you’re a fan of open world RPGs but it’s a sick game.

      Hi mate and thanks! Yeah, Skyrim , so I've dipped my toe into a couple of times, but never really spent a serious amount of time on it, in fact I think Evies played it more than me which is saying something! I did recently picked it up for psvr though, do might try that! Thanks for watching mate!

    Cool video. I used to focus on the latest consoles and have been buying digital games/movies since the xbox 360 but now im going back to physical. No longer buying digital games/movies. Bluray is amazing quality and Ive been enjoying getting back into PS3 physical games. The closure of the 360 support and the loss of digital copies through companies merging was a big wake up call for me. If its digital only too bad. I also am finding a new appreciation for the older consoles that dont require internet connection or activation.

      That's great to hear really, it's inevitable that the future of gaming is heading down that route, but we will still always have so many generations of previous consoles to collect for and it's amazing just how many are out there! Thanks for watching mate!

    Funny timing showing Recore there mate as I've been thinking about getting it recently. Even after all these years I've not yet finished Alien 3, feel like a right slacker so I'll have to get that done soon. "Soon" he says, over 30 years after it came out 🤣

      I really like Recore, but I really should just start again but play it properly! Alien 3 is just amazing too, one of my fave snes games! Hope you're doing well mate, and thanks for watching!

    7:34 This is the correct pronunciation. The word Sylpheed takes its root from a Latin or Greek word for wind, silph-. I can't remember which language. The original PC game in the 80s was just called Silpheed. It is a top-down shooter which allows you to swap weapons in the intermissions between levels. It can be pretty tough due to the blocky graphics and hit detection. The ship isn't viewed top-down but rather shrinks as it moves into the background. This make the hit detection hard to gauge. The 360 game you have there plays more like Colony Wars, if I remember correctly, though I've never played it.

      Ah so I do remember Silpheed but never made the connection! Interesting! Yeah, wasn't sure about this one though, just didn't grab me once the game started.. thanks for watching mate!

      @@pixelpaul_pxp Both are made by GameArts, the same company that made Thexder, if you ever played that one. They are also famous for the Grandia series

    Interesting watch. Hopefully you'll make this a regular feature.
    I'm thinking about getting a 3DS. Have you got Ridge Racer and Super Mario 3D Land for it? I love Luigis Mansion on the GC so would definitely pick up the sequel too if I get one.

      Hey, yep, definately looking to make this an ongoing monthly addition to the channel, so long as I play something each month, which we all know, I will do.. I have got Ridge and it's OK, standard Ridge really, but not Mario Land yet. Luigis is easily my fave game played on it so far, it's brilliant. Thanks for watching mate!

    19:29 I think Dragon's Lair like Wardner and other tough games have an addictive quality where you get a little further and want to see more. It's very engaging that way.

      Very true! It doesn't have too many redeeming features this one, but I couldn't help myself haha!

    You may already have covered this mate, but when a game is just meh/so-so, do you keep it in your collection anyway or move it on? I've been thinking about thinning down my collection, as I have some games that are rare/collectable, but just aren't any good, so I'll never play them. But it's hard to let go!
    Great video and channel 👏

    • @pixelpaul_pxp
      @pixelpaul_pxp  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      At the moment, I'd say it depends on a couple things so like the price I paid for it, and how much I'd get back. Older stuff, I tend to keep now as I live with regret of selling off my older collection, so would rather keep unless it has some decent trade value. Newer games, I'm less inclined to keep, so like in this, I moved the ps5 games on as they aren't rare, and will be easily available again if I ever want to try again. In general I don't like selling or trading on, that's why I'm quite careful with what I buy and how much I spend! Hope that answers, sort of! Thx for watching mate!

    • @Neo_Player
      @Neo_Player 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah that does make sense. Quite a lot of things to consider when moving things on, and yep we've all had regret (I lost all my childhood games because at every stage I traded them for the latest system 😭. They should've included collecting on the curriculum at school 😂
      The other reason I think of moving things on is space, but there's often other ways to create more space if you have the time.
      Cheers!

      Yeah, space is a constant battle, and I'm considering moving stuff I'm less bothered about into my loft. Box them up, forget about them then see how much they're worth in 15 years time!
