How many times can you tell a story without boring your audience? - Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) was a master in variations (in this case, as a first movement of a sonata). It even seems as though the story set up in the "Thema" (Theme) would continue through each variation. And, by the way, this sonata is said to have been one of Fryderyk Chopin's (1810-1849) favourite pieces. Enjoy.
