      Hey. Thanks for the comment! I wish they weren’t so expensive as well. Unfortunately, the cost of the components have gone up significantly. If I were to charge less, I wouldn’t be able to maintain operations :(. I hope this changes soon!

    Thanks. Due to your very comprehensive video I have just completed deep cleaning of my Enagic Leveluk SD501 machine. Could not have done it without your great video. I am in the West Indies and it has saved me the inconvenience of returning my machine to the US. Fantastic video. I bought a Gile House Brew Supply GH-15MP pump from Amazon. It did a great job at pumping the cleaning solution. Got a used one (like new) for $50.00us. Wish I could show you a picture of the setup. Thumps up to you bossman. God bless you for sharing your knowledge from the Enagic Company.

      Hi Mr Cohen, I received a machine today for repairs I thought it wanted deep cleaning but the issue seems to be different The power button does not turn on the machine. The screen lights up when it is first plugged in but goes off shortly thereafter. I'm also an Electronic Technician. Any suggestions?

    ? I heard someone out here in the states, cleans these machines. I bought this Leveluk sd 501 used and used to pay for the people to send machine in for cleaning. Since i bought it, I'm only using for cleaning city water, don't know enough about how it works, nor the chemicals that needs added. Thanks again for the videos! Just wanted to add one comment on usage of CLR. I would be very weary on advising the usage of CLR from a health perspective, warranty perspective, and especially if you're doing these as a side business - a legal perspective. From what I have read today, CLR is toxic and has health concerns with usage in cleaning process. I've also read it usage could void warranty. Most importantly though it might leave toxic residue which could harm people. Just looking out for your safety and everybody else's safety. Appreciate the good quality video and your enthusiasm to share Enagic with world. God Bless! 🙏🏼

      @Aquacharged  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I definitely understand where you coming from thank you so much for your feedback but I already had that discussion with the Ion faucet facility and also with enagic tech Department and they use the same thing CLR, citric acid & muriatic acid the only thing people have to understand is the flushing process is very important and that's why I emphasize on the flush in my video!

    • @Aquacharged
      @Aquacharged  4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Since ionfaucet does the deep cleaning for the enagic machines as a business as well I made sure how they do it and they sell the iso approved marine-grade pumps if you want to confirm yourself you can call them as well and ask about the process they use! and I know enagic knows all about their process !
      The reason I do this videos is to educate people and to give them an option so they can maintain their technology the right way promoting longevity. Cuz not everyone live near enagic office! 🙏💯

    • @Aquacharged
      @Aquacharged  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also if you research CLR you will see that is non-toxic what is biodegradable here is some of the literature I found "CLR Calcium, Lime & Rust Remover is part of the EPA's Safer Choice Program, recognizing the product as a safer alternative to chemicals. The fast-acting, powerful CLR formula is septic-safe and contains no phosphates."

    • @budzoflove4891
      @budzoflove4891 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I notice the back of the CLR bottle says it's recommended use for coffee makers and tea kettles. If it's safe to run through a coffeemaker idk why it wouldn't be safe to run through a Kangen Machine. Going to try it with the CLR when the pump gets here & will report back with ORP improvement. 👍

    As a saltwater aquarium enthusiast, we use citric acid to clean our pumps without any issues. I'm betting the "Black Gunk" they're getting on the plates is from inexperienced users leaving the synthetic sponge filter in the pump. That will deteriorate in the acid.

    • @Aquacharged
      @Aquacharged  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see! But I still do not recommend using an aquarium pump it has to be a marine grade home so you don't void your warranty it has to be able to handle strong acids...!

    • @dniezby
      @dniezby 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video, I was also worried about using CLR and my dad is a chemist and he told me he wouldn't recommend cleaning with it, so I would only use the citric acid for years, but after watching this video recently and doing some reseach, as long as you flush everything out properly that is all you need to do to make it safe for you to clean the machine. So my question is, I have a machine that is about 5 or 6 years old and its the exact machine you use in the video and until right now I always do the deep clean with the pump that you have in the video, but would just use the citric acid and not the CLR. So this was the first time I did the CLR clean and ran it for about 6 and a half hours, but when I tested the different waters with the electric gauge that you have and my acid water was only 865, the 11.5 was -288 and the 9.5 was -255. So way lower number then that you were getting. Is there anything I can do to get the levels back to what you show in the video?

      Honestly I think what you’re having might be a lot of calcium calcification inside of the machines specifically the plates you might have to have somebody clean them manually so they can start performing at peak state and then keep doing the deep clean once every six months

    This is a great video thank you for sharing. I really liked all the detailed steps. Does Enagic use the same process when we send our machines in for deep cleaning? I thought I read that we should only use the citric acid from Enagic? Also is it safe to use CLR? I don’t want to damage my SD501 Platinum or void the warranty.

    Great vid, but as a chemist I can tell you I'm certainly not putting CLR, bleach, or any other industrial chem through the machine. Many people have a hard time understanding the difference between an industrial chemical and a lab/food grade chemical. Simply put, it's not about how pure the chemical is; it's about knowing what's actually in the bottle. Something like CLR is going to contain various chemicals that aren't listed in the MSDS because they aren't supposed to be there. And every time you go to the store to buy a new bottle, it's going to contain a different composition than the previous bottle. The best thing to do is figure out the active ingredients in CLR, then simply buy the food-grade versions of those chemicals and add them individually. That being said, I'm not sure I'd bother because I took a cursory glance at the CLR wiki and the relevant active ingredients are all organic acids, and we've already got that base covered with the citric acid. That should work just fine for the duration of your warranty, then after that you can simply pull the machine apart and clean it manually. Mechanical agitation is far more effective than chemical cleaning anyway. Just think about your dishes - you can soak them in hot soapy water for hours, and blast them with 60psi of hot water from your sink sprayer, but that usually only removes about 90% of the food. Conversely, if you use a brush to scrub the dishes instead, you can skip the soaking, the soap, the hot water, and the high pressure spraying, and you'll still remove 100% of the food/detritus.

He has now switched to about 1/3 cup CLR plus water for a 40 minute rinse then he switches to water and citric acid for 4+ hours.

    I bought a fontain pump, thought it might not have the same filters of an aquarium pump.
    Either way thanks for the video. Do you know if someone living in europe would able to use it also? I mean the nachine you got there.

    My machine started out with "filter clean" not "Kangen 9.5". What do I do? It says the same thing when I clean it on a regular basis. I reset the button but it does not matter.

      Hello, I will be more than happy to help you diagnose. What’s wrong with your machine? Is there anyway you can reach out to me through Facebook or Instagram then I can get your information and maybe we can do a video call so I can further understand what you’re saying.!

    Wait so does this mean if we have used a cheaper aquarium pump that the plates in our machines are coated with black tar from it? So if I send it to enagic for them to deep clean will they be able to see if they are coated so that they can remove it?

    • @Aquacharged
      @Aquacharged  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only if you've been using a cheap pump for a long time it will cause that and if you send it to Enagic and they deep clean it and it does not operate right and they open it and check it then they will know

      @@Aquacharged ive used it 3 times total in the span of 4 years so do you think its still okay? it seems to run perfectly fine. and I would want them to be able to see it and know so that they could clean it since im passed my warranty anyways. I am wondering what type of hose I can get from the hardware store? MOst of the people that I ask at the stores, don't know if they would be good for the CLR.
    Thanks!

    Love this video! So informative! So, I own a K8. Looks like the cleaning filter you recommend does not fit the K8. What do you recommend I do? Since you recommend to have citric acid in the cleaning filter and in the pump. Hope this makes sense!
    Thank you in advance! 🤙🏽

      What's going on my brother Matt I'm actually working on the video for the K-8 process so you would use the one that comes with your K-8 and just adds a little bit more of citric acid into the mix is that make sense...
