For those who don't know. Icarus was a boy in Greek mythology that flew towards the sun until his feathers, that his engineer prodigy father made so they could escape prison, melt and died from the fall.
Just adding some precisions. The feather idea came from his father to escape from the giant maze they were lost in. Icarus was a boy in Greek mythology that flew towards the sun until his feathers, that his engineer prodigy father made so they could escape prison, melt and died from the fall.
Icarus insticnt....forget where the roots run deep and get yor wings clipped.......also the name of the spaceship in sunshine
There is a sea and an island in Greece named after him where the myth has it he fell.
Just adding some precisions. The feather idea came from his father to escape from the giant maze they were lost in. But once in the air, Icarus was amazed by the sun and began to flight closer and closer to it. Because of the heat the glue melted down and the feathers went off, leaving Icaruse trapped by his own curiosity.

Every year Athens paid tribute to the king of Crete, Minos. Theseus, son of Aegeus wanted to end this and went himself to face the Minotaur. (thesseah in greek means sacrifice).
He beat him and returned to Athens but he had forgotten to change from black sails. Aegeus, waiting for his son above the sea, took it as a sign that Theseus is dead and threw himself in the rocky waters.
They gave his name to the sea, Aegean. South east of the Aegean is Icaria island and the Icarian sea.
