Interesting we make the same tea in West Africa, but we use dried hibiscus petals and boil it in water with cloves, grains of selim, fresh mint leaves and pureed pineapple, ginger can be added for heat it is usually served chilled and is a natural remedy for anaemia

I'm absolutely loving my hibiscus tea. I bought it in its raw form. I boil the water, add the hibiscus flowers, stir....squeeze lemon and lime juice into it, strain.. chill it in fridge. Its so refreshing as an ice tea and packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Must be a great liver cleanse too. Im taking it for adrenal fatigue. Its helping a bit. Its going to be a very refreshing drink in the summer for those hot and humid days where u need to replenish lost water and vitamins from sweating.

I have given up watching any other food channels on TH-cam, coz yours checks all my boxes!!! I share your TH-cam links with everyone I know!
Have been eyeing your white bladed knife since long! :-D
Would be extremely grateful if you could help us with suggestions for decent knife brands for vegetable cutting and meats. Mine require just so much effort & leave my hands so chafed & frayed.
    Thanks! :-)

You're right. As a West African I was confused when I saw the flower. We use the calyxces (not the flower) of sorrel (also in the Hibiscus family) to make our tea here in Nigeria. The flower she used in this video is primarily grown as an ornamental plant in most of Nigeria. I had no idea it was safe to brew as a tea! God is so gracious and generous. He's put plants everywhere in all of creation to provide the flavinoids and acanthocyanins to give us the antioxidants we all need. I've learned something new today.
