Wow! Just wow! Nailed it. One of my favourite songs of all time, and you guys just added to the whole experience. Curtis Mayfield was on another level, like Bob Marley and Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye, I think.
Best thing I’ve seen in a while. This song takes me back to my skateboarding days! It was featured in an old skateboarding video from the nineties. I think it was one of the 411 videos. Great song, and a cover that’s just as cool!
Truly a great cover of a great song. I grew up listening to Motown and artists like Curtis (yes, that makes me an old dude. I'll do the math...almost 62...) I wasn't sure if I was going to like an acoustic version but it blew me away. Really loved the angles that highlighted Declan's playing. I always want to see more of this and so rarely is there camera time spent on capturing technique. Nicely done...
Our last night over from Oregon walking weary back to the room through Belfast, and we heard a nice rendition of Little WIng - stuck our face to window and we were hooked. Inside to catch the last 3 songs of a too-short set and they were gone! (Almost - after handshakes, we left but two minutes later Andrew came running after with my wife's jacket) - As a kid, my mom had Wes Montgomery on and that was over 50 years ago, I'm pretty sure tonight his spirit sat up in his grave and gave a rousing applause. Well earned Dec Lán... well earned.
I can't understand. This is, far and away, the best cover of this song. The "catch" is, if you listen to Curtis Mayfield, he VERY CLEARLY says "Hush now, child, don't you cry. Your folks MIGHT UNDERSTAND you, bye and bye." Here, the singer says "...your folks might NOT understand you, bye and bye." It makes NO sense! Why change it? Curtis is saying that the folks might understand her eventually but she has to deal with her life in the present. Again, why change it? Even "Urban Funk Bash," the German group that covers this song well, got it right. They changed ".... your folks might understand you, bye and bye" to "....my, oh my." I'm guessing perhaps the "bye and bye" doesn't make any sense to a non native speaker? At least there seems to be a plausible explanation. Can anyone clear this up for me?
oh man i need to go, i am already late!!!!!! Can't stop repeating it. Even worse, just volumed up the speakers. Uuhhhhhhh, YES BABY. COME ON. blblblblblblblbblblblbblblblblbblbeeeeee
+gianni rodger the one with the smaller sound hole is a gypsy jazz guitar, probably some small boutique brand, if not a big name like selmer. The other guitar: worst guess is a breedlove? but my best guess is its probably a small-scale-luthier artisan type thing
This has to be the 101 on how to take the soul and spirit out of a song. The way they sing it makes it clear they don't understand what this song represents.

These guys absolutely nailed it! The lead guitarist was amazing and the rhythm guitarist's voice was unreal!
No. They absolutely nothing. Stop over hyping stuff.
@@wraithyoshidj6702 haven't seen any of your music uploaded, loser
Why isn’t this on iTunes? This is one of the best covers I have heard recently, and I wish I could listen to it on the go

Классно!!!
someone knows if there is a tab for this song?
Isn’t that the cook that speaks into the cabinet?
That was tasty
what kind of guitars are those?
+gianni rodger the one with the smaller sound hole is a gypsy jazz guitar, probably some small boutique brand, if not a big name like selmer. The other guitar: worst guess is a breedlove? but my best guess is its probably a small-scale-luthier artisan type thing
The guy on the left is playing a lowden guitar. Not sure of the model
Geezer
Lead guitar tab or tutorial please :)
you guys should perform in ohio
Soy puto.
nice vocal but too much fiddling on guitar.
There was no fiddle
Great voice the 2nd guitar spoils it though. Too much, too excessive, too much twiddling.
