early season I believe opposite of not calling on the roost ...I always call to roasted gobbler the first couple days of the season there hot and ready for hens and alot of times when you stay call in on the open day and keep him gobbling he's getting hotter ever gobble ....and it does work I've killed a bird on the first day the past 2 years and have called another in for a freind last year on open morin I killed a triple bearded bird longest beard was 12 and 3/4
I only have a few places to set up and it doesn't matter if the birds are there or not that's where I have to go. so what's the best way if I can't chase them or don't have a lot of options in set ups and locations?
Question?? All joling aside ive used mouth calls for years but now i have dentures and i cant for the like of me be decent like i was so i ordered primus mouth calls with a top mouth cap and im getting it down again but is there any suggestions on call for ppl with dentures??
Don't call, wait until he flies down and gets out of sight and then try to bring him back. It probably won't work (he'll know you're there), you'll most likely have to move fast and get to where he's going before he does.
How early is too early to start calling. years ago I was told the cardinal is the alarm clock of the turkey and dont dare call before that. I wonder, if u dont see and dont hear turkeys.....is there a indicator its time to softly tree call?
@@MrGattor33 I've tried mouth calls before and could just never get the hang of them, Odd that I get a message on this subject as I'm headed to the turkey woods as we speak. May 5th is our last day so I'm trying to make every day count.
@@wizardofahhhs759 I totally get what you're saying but the mouth calls are not something that happens over night... takes a while of practice. Oh and good luck out there i didn't have any luck last weekend myself.
Definitely the best tutorial on TH-cam, this guy knows how to teach. There's other good ones too but these videos are a step up.
Think I’ll just sit in the woods and play this video, especially on the soft closing call. That was sweet

What do you do if you found out your sitting under the same tree the gobbler is roosting in?

Hope your heart's in good shape 😆🦃
Dont get pooped on.
Hi, I want to come to turkey but I can't. How can I come there just to learn as scholarship
Wrong kind of turkey

Wayne Snyder wait for the first gobble
I wait till first light, as soon as I can see the outline of my decoys, which are only 25-35 yards away.

I use a box call and have had gobblers on top of me before I could even sit the box down, never mind getting the gun up.

Probably be best to learn to use a mouth call that way you have hands free to take your gobbler 🤷🏼♂️

Which call is this?
A turkey call
Idk why but I can’t use them calls 🤦♂️
This dude makes hens sound bad.
that's bull. I have called roasted turkey. n killed a lot of them.
Mary Clouser Yup, and it works well too. There are many ways to kill turkeys though.
I would rather try to shock gobble with a non turkey call before using a a turkey call. But that is just my opinion...
I love roasted turkey!
I called a roasted turkey once but he just sat in the oven basting😂✌
Roasted is about as good as fried.
This guy is pissing me off
