Thanks for the review! I’m 6’2” with a 34” inseam. Nice to see someone close to my size review this bike! The 901 Expedition is my “Bucket List” bike, no doubt. I think it’d be all over if I actually got my hands on one 😂 I am amazed at the cost/value proposition of the new KTM 790 Adventure. “Dork in the Road” is reviewing one right now. Western PA here. I can appreciate the weather challenges coming your way.
You are so lucky to live in West PA I love that state. I had to drive to Tyrone PA to look at BMW's what a great ride. We also ride the forest trails near Bradford PA. I have a reveal purchase video on this bike coming out later this week and then many videos on my accessories...you are the first to know. I cannot tell you how much fun this bike is, and incredibly light. Also I like the Dork channel and that 790 is an incredible value and we know he'll test that bike for sure. That is a real nice looking bike. Love the graphics and the their colors. The wire and cable routing appear to be excellent and their competitors should take note of it. The display was bright, but some of the text was a little small to read, at least in the video. Now you've got me thinking about this bike. Honestly, I didn't even consider Husqvarna until I saw this video.

I was real excited to try a Norden Expedition. I love its look better than KTM. However, I am 6'-2" and when I sat on one, I hated the foot peg location so much I took it off my shopping list. I think the pegs are not just high but too far back. I am an old dirt bike guy and the Norden is like sitting on a crotch rocket with your toes pointing to the ground. I think it isn't possible to reposition enough for me with alternate pegs. I find the 790/890 slightly back more than I like also but not as extreme as the Norden. Not to my liking anyway. A taller seat helps the angle which you feel on the 890R.
I raised the seat and installed Vanache foot pegs seat went up an inch pegs went down an inch I love it. That video coming in a couple weeks. I fully understand I’ll see how this works long run and share with you. Ride safe
Great walkthrough, I am very interested in this bike, the 2024. The 2025s are out now, in spite of some nice upgrades, they have swapped out the beautiful blue color. If you want to check out the closest in comparison I would look at the Triumph Tiger Rally Pro. It basically have all the extras that this Norden Expedition has. Just so you know how to pronounce Husqvarna, I am Swedish, born and raised about 40 miles from the city of Huskvarna, where it all started some 400 years ago. It is not Huska-Varna, It is to be pronounced more like Hus-kvarna. It is a 2 word word. Kind of like Railroad, Rail-road. Hus-kvarna. Cheers from Sweden
I did ride the 2025 triumph tiger 900 pro it is an excellent motorcycle although on paper, the tiger engine may have the same horsepower possibly the same amount of torque. It sure didn’t feel like it had the same amount of power and torque for me. The ktm 890 parallel twin pulls so much harder and I believe this suspension is also superior on the Norden. I’m not saying the triumph tiger is a bad bike. I just believe Husqvarna and KTM for me are better. Thank you for your comment. Ride safe and in peace.
@@maraudermitchelli Could it be the Tiger has most the power in the mid and upper range while the KTM/Husqvarna is more in the lower and mid range? I seen people pop a wheelie driving calm on 3rd gear with no effort on the Norden. Dont see this on the Tiger.
So I'm now leaning towards the vstrom 800DE vs. the norden. Which is odd....only the vstrom doesn't have cruise and tubeless tires. However, it is much cheaper and probably just as offroad capable. Given the engine 890 camshaft issues and typical electronic and other known issues I've been swayed more suzuki....and I was drooling over that Expedition last year. The standard norden just doesn't have enough of the included expedition features to make me choose it over the vstrom.
You know I'm not a Suzuki guy but there's no way I'm debating their quality. I was thoroughly surprised how peppy the Vstrom was I don't know if you saw that video. I understand your decision Vstrom is a solid bike. The Norden is my go to bike I probably told you that already she's just so light. Please let me know when you get your bike and thank you for following up.

Ronnie when I first read this I was smiling ear to ear...I'm so happy for you. I really think it's neat you like Ducati's. Ducati's are performance bikes for sure always have been. Hopefully we'll both like fast bikes beyond 77. Ride safe and congratulations.
Did you get a chance to try an Aprilia Tuareg 660. Very nimble bike with decent 80 hp. Traction control, abs, cruise control, electronics for throttle management, engine braking, etc. Offroad suspension better than the 700 Tenere. Big Rock Moto rates it as one of the best mid weight adv bikes. Fortunately, my local Ducati dealer is also an Aprilia dealer. I purchased a 2023 Aprilia Tuareg 660 last year and this year returned to purchase a 2023 Ducati Multistrada Rally. For local commuting love my Tuareg and I have taken it on some pretty serious offroad, at 450 lbs it is much more nimble offroad than the Ducati. Love your videos because you are right there in my age range and also a returning rider.
BB love your comment. I own a Ducati Multistrada V4 Tall Rally and BRM recommended to me the Tuareg to me…I just couldn’t own two Italian bikes and Aprilia I think has less dealers than Ducati. I totally agree the Tuareg is a great bike no doubt. I just wanted a bike with a larger dealer network. I will share soon the bike o purchased. I love your Ducati so much I bought one. I bought a 2023 901 Expedition half a year ago. I’m 6‘9/330lb and I love riding the bike!
