@@abdulazizalzut8963There was a Mod Squad reunion TV movie called "Return Of the Mod Squad" in 1979. Todd Bridges played Linc's adopted son. IIRC, the TV movie was originally broadcast on NBC. I rewatched it on TH-cam a few years ago.
It's sad. The older I get, I see more and more people I recognize and admire passing on. May all have eternal peace and rest. 🙏🕊️❤️ Thank you for always being respectful, accurate and kind.
Rocky Colavito, the classiest man ever to play major league baseball. Rocky, thank you for signing my mitt at an appearance in Akron, Ohio sixty-six years ago when I was ten years old. You were my favorite ballplayer then and will always be ....
Sigh...childhood crushes nearly all gone. Mod Squad, Man from U.N.C L.E., and three out of four of the Monkees. So many iconic actors gone now. Miss the entertainment that used to be.
My college p.e. teacher said as one gets older, he or she will face more deaths. Sad, but it seems to be true as I got older and I'm just 69 now and I almost died of Covid 19 in 2020. Took me a month and ½ to recover, but I did.
I had such a crush on Michael Cole when he was on The Mod Squad. And I loved Thom Christopher on OLTL. 😢 RIP to all who passed. Thank you Legacy for handling obituaries with your usual dignity.❤
Merv Rettemund was starting player caliber but had the fortune, both good and bad, to play on the Baltimore Orioles from 1968 to 1973. He was the fourth outfielder in Earl Weaver's platooning system, to supplement the three regulars, Don Buford in left, Paul Blair in Center, and HoFer Frank Robinson in right. He hit rather well for being played in various positions and not being used to a consistent position in the lineup, usually second or sixth, depending upon who he was filling in for. When Frank Robinson was traded to the Dodgers after the 1971 season, Rettemund got to start regularly in right, but injuries and diminishing effectiveness caused him to lose the job to the up-and-coming Al Bumbry, and Merv was dealt to the Cinncinati Reds. As the "Big Red Machine" was already well-stocked with hitting talent, his role was as a part-timer, and he asked to be traded after the 1975 season. He still saw only a part-time role with the Padres, and he was dealt to the Angels before the 1978 season, where he stayed until early in the 1980 season, where he was released and his MLB career came to an end.
I recognized "The Amazing Kreskin", real name George Kresge, in the thumbnail. My family and I used to watch him on TV when I was a kid, and I always thought he was psychic. I was wondering if he was still alive or not, and now I know. He was born the same year my mom was. Not sure if he was ever on Tonight Show with Johnny Carson or not, but I know that he was on the Halloween episode of The Morton Downey Jr. Show, and the episode of Live with Regis and Kathie Lee where they dressed up as each other.
From the youngest to the oldest, we send out our heart felt condolences to your families, especially Michael Cole and World War 2 veteran , Mr. Hernandez. Rest in peace, and God bless you all.❤❤🎉🎉
A couple of Country singers passed away this week as well, Marty Robbins (Dec 8, 1982) & Faron Young (Dec 10, 1996). Also happy heavenly birthday to the great Bob Barker (Dec 12, 1923 - Aug 2023)
Michael Cole I was lucky to see in MOD Squad as a young pre-teen for two reasons Mom letting me instead of watching her shows if they played. 2nd racism was rapid at that time. So now after all these years knowing how mom was I was lucky.
I would have loved to see Pantera's original 90's lineup in concert, complete with Dimebag and Vinnie Paul. I missed the boat on that one and it's a damn shame. Vinnie Paul would go on to join Hellyeah years after his brother's death. I did get to see Hellyeah in concert...in 2019, a year after Vinnie Paul's death. Missed another boat. Rest in Peace, Abbot brothers.

RIP Thom Christopher. Hawk in Buck Rodgers in the 25th Century. Only Gil Gerard (Buck Rodgers) and Erin Grey(Col Wilma Deering) left from cast opening credits now. Wilfred Hyde_ White(Dr Goodfellow) Jay Garner(Admiral Ethan Asimov) and Tim O" Connor(Dr Elias Huer) all gone.
Rest in peace, Thom "Hawk" Christopher and Michael "Pete" Cole. The Mod Squad and Buck Rogers In the 25th Century were big parts of my childhood. Had crushes on Peggy "Julie" Lipton and Erin "Wilma Deering" Gray. Luckily Erin is still with us.
I agree, of course, some black poet, no one ever heard of, who will be celebrated, or probably already has been, every February, is much more important. May they all RIP.
John Lennon died on Dec. 8th, and so did Nicholas 'Razzle' Dingely, drummer of Hanoi Rocks, four years later. Darby Crash of the germs killed himself on Dec. 7th 1980. Fans always say that John's death overshadowed Darby's, but to be honest most people weren't ready for Darby then.

The former MLB Players played when it still was a game. Not the "we don't give a crap as long as we are grossly overpaid" way it is today. Today it is the Baby Boomer Spoiled Brats of Summer.
I have a question. I've made a bit of a game predicting when your suicide disclaimer is going to be put in. I tell you, I'm crushing it. My question is this. Are you low key trolling the fact it's no longer socially acceptable to say " this person took their own life"? If yes, I can get behind that. But, if your aim is to be genuinely respectful and that is all, I'd consider front loading or back loading the candle screen. I realize this is a ridiculous comment in this context, but I nail it every week and it occurs to me that the end result is you shining a flashlight on the point rather than accounting for tragedy in a general way.
I would think it is about being respectful in cases where the family has not yet confirmed, given that at times, they do mention that a person took their own life, in which case they follow it up with silently projecting the suicide hotline phone number. That said, I do concur that if they would put the disclaimer consistently toward the beginning, they could avoid seeming to comment directly on any particular death.
Hi @stevenedwards4470 - thank you for watching. Whenever suicide is a confirmed cause of death, we absolutely do report it. Our privacy disclaimer is not only about suicide - there are actually many different reasons why someone’s cause of death may not be publicly announced right away. We made a video to explain those reporting standards about causes of death in more detail, and you can watch that here: th-cam.com/video/9SEPPE7VJLQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZIfzeLl4e9YEgzn2

I remember Nikki Giovanni. I saw her on TV when I was growing up in the 1960's. Thanks for the informative videos.
The golden age of baseball is slipping away . The last time I was interested was in the 70s . Those were great days for baseball

Anyone who enjoyed Michael Cole at all, should read his Autobiography "I Played The White Guy"!!! It will make you feel good.
Agree. Great read. RIP Dearest Michael 😭
