Andrew is totally biased, because he talks of using bad characters like Viktor will get you killed without realizing the problem that underline: that there is an unsurmountable gap between champions power, regardless of skill, even worst is the unspoken fact: Evie's combat strategy leave little to no interaction for the enemy to react, kinda like VII. High movility and damage, crowd control, invulnerability, the reason that the Makoa landed that hooks and the "fragile hero" didn't die is because her kit is strong in basics, you "put yourself in danger" because of its projectile speed demanding close distance, but that is a lie if you see that mid range or behind you when you are doing anything else is how she play and have the tools to reach hit and go away when you know how to pilot the hero. Am I also biased? I think its fair to think that, what you folks think on that? Would like to know what others opinions are
I'll just say that any evie that manages to kill me 3 times in A row against my main without using ult deserves my respect, most of the time i kill evie, she's hard to play
Hi ! **English is not my first language, so I'll try my best to explain and to do less mistakes XD I'm an Evie main myself. 600+ matchs with her, 60% win rate and lvl 92. Not trying to flex, just put things in perspective. I think Evie has one of the best design in Paladins, in term of mobility, of reliability, fun to play and with a high skill ceiling (I think we can agree on the last one). For sure, a good evie player will destroy any new players or low tp players. That player has a better game sens, better couldown management and maybe even a better aim (which I dont have lol). In that case, Evie is a menace, and I think you need to learn and practice all the tips Andrew gives us on his lastest video ''Im not a hypocrit'' to deal with her. For high tp match up, like Diamond and beyond, I think it is the place where Evie realy shines. This is where both team usualy have good players, who know their positioning and how to manage against flanks like Evie. In that case, I'd say Evie is harder to play (imo), because people know how to counter her. That's why she needs to think outside the box for her strategies, and to be realy careful when knowing when to push or not, or else, she gets penalized. In term of straight kit, regardless of skills, I must admit, I think her kit is strong. We all know that and we have several proofs. Now, is it balanced ? That is on what I'm not sure. Id say yes, only because of one thing : there's not enough player who is playing her well enough to nerf her. Indeed, if the devs would nerf her because she is ''too hard to counter on controler'' or ''too many champs are vulnerable against Evie'', I think it will only affects a small niche of player, and therefore, make the champion even harder for new players. And I speak from a Snow Globe Player perspective, but I think it is the same with her two other talents (I've tryed several times the blink talent, and personaly, I dont enjoy this type of gameplay, but I know it can get pretty strong, like SG). Not better, in any case, but both are pretty good and consistent. It's juste the gameplay that changes (by a lot, that's why I prefer SG lol). That's it!
