Ppl been after me for puppies all for looks,these ppl aren't ready for this they think cuz she smaller than the bullies they don't realize the difference edit watching my dog how over her 2nd year of life she has went through sessions with rottweiler. Grappling and wrestling and now she taught herself to attack the rear end of rottweiler to get her down
i've had a lot of staghounds given to me over the years as sometimes they're over 2 years before they'll catch anything as they're incredibly slow to mature, they don't really get good till 3 or sometimes 4 but if you wait when they get there fuck they're unbelievable
A fat healthy pup bred just like his pedigree says 💯.. A seasoned dogman can sell you a yearling & have more of an idea of what the dog will become.. We all have hopes & wishes & these dogs will break your heart. There is a seasoned kennel very very very high on a particular dog right NOW. A month later after the hunt, the dog not on the yard anymore.. This been going on since black & white photos.. The camp is blaming the dog & the breeder blaming the keep.. A dog needs to mature because they become more of what they are.. I know a coward when I see 1 and I am separating immediately & I been around hounds long enough to know very well how those (sometimes/ yellowbelly) dogs pan out. The person feeding & picking up SHIT behind the dog gets to make that call. Keep on Bulldogging 👊🏿
Best cross I used was Bullyson x Mtn. Homer blood, absolutely phenomenal dogs, I FREAKN LOVED those dogs smh, worked extremely well for us in the early 90s. 👍🏽👍🏽
I'm sure we'll never know how many potentially great dogs were ruined by starting too early... But if people would take your sound advice we could prevent loosing countless numbers in the future as well. Great advice and the dogs are all looking top notch as always! Much respect and keep on bulldoggin
I've seen a many dogs get wasted because they didn't have the time to mature. Seen puppies in the air hanging on rooe and that dog just yanking. Just yanking until one of then canines comes out and without them long teeth that dog ain't catching much abd you done ruined a good dog being fast. I wait until 3 years old to get serious with the training. Seen dogs that would of been champs get wasted alfl the time for being impatient. I waited 4 yeads for a dog to turn on and he was the best dog i ever had. I could of culled him, but I'm glad I listened to my mentor and waited.
Love your dogs How big is the biggest on your yard? When you take them hunting do you have bailers with you as well and if you do how do your Bulldogs do with them

People like to put Frisco down as a bad/cur. Well I myself have never seen Frisco other than photos. Now my grand dad was there when Frisco was rolled into a dam good dog and Frisco had to be taken off the other dog, Frisco wreck that Dog's chest and shoulder in a couple minutes, don't think grand dad would of lied ,he was hard on a bulldog. Frisco was shy but a cur I don't think so.
It's not good to get a pup and say it's gonna be a brood dog. A brood dog must get thru school and then they gotta be able to produce well. So it will take a while before you can call a dog a brood dog.
Few of my sorrels were late bloomers had some carver Crenshaw that came in later had some hienzl sorrels blood and the pups were nuts from the time the eyes opened
