- Step by step tutorial on how to properly shampoo hair before doing a silk press.
I am a Licensed Cosmetologist, and hair straightening specifically for black women has been a specialty of mine for around three years now.
In this video I show you my absolute fool proof guide to getting A perfect shampoo for your light and airy silk presses!
Products:
Basic Hair Care Clarifying Shampoo
Kenra Moisture Balance shampoo and conditioner
Kenra moisturizing oil
Steam for 7-10 mins
I realized a said trim and cut off 4 inches from my guest hair, I meant to say haircut not trim! My guest wanted this haircut haha
Great job on the shampoo and conditioner treatment. I would love to see the entire trim next time. ☺️
Love this video ! Would love to see a silk press video .
Excellent shampoo Ma’am loved it
Nicely done!
I love this , It was really helpful.
Beautiful hair
I'm going using clarifying shampoo I forgot it does make my hair move because it really cleans the hair dirt and debris out ,
What products do you use to silk press the hair
I like your technique & products you are using. Where is you salon located?
Thank you for sharing.
I'm very surprised you didn't use the hair mask.
You are not far from me. Hopefully, I can book an appointment.
After you deep condition do you shampoo the hair again?
No
@@oldsouljs8042 not even leave in?
@@okal2468 that's a personal preference. Me personally I do not add anything else to my hair after rinsing out the conditioner to assure my silk press is as light as possible.
That was a cut not a trim
Is “suddier” a word?
All words are made up anyway. So what's your point?
So you should use a moisturizing shampoo after clarifying b4 straightenin??
Yes
This is nikki anderson my mother does my hair
What leave-in did you use?
But why do you need a clarifying shampoo and then a moisturizing one. Isnt that what the conditioner is for?
I use clarifying shampoo to cleanse the hair so that the oils and debris will not block the moisturizing shampoo from doing what we need it to do
She didn’t need all that hair trimmed
This is nikki anderson I don't travel
Why you cut so much off
Definitely NOT a trim. This is why people avoid hairdressers.
Exactly! That is not a trim. This is why I will never again step foot in a salon. My hair is waist length 💁🏽♀️ I had one bad experience with a “trim” & said never again.
These stylists get too happy with cutting off hair you put love into. Then call it a “trim”. It’s infuriating.
I realize I did say trim but I consult with all of my guest before cutting anything! We decided to do a blunt cut because she wanted something new :)
Because the customer asked for it (:
