  • In this TITANIC CLASH in my very-late game campaign, we try gather our Kingdom's lords together for an assault on a huge, coalition enemy force, in a gigantic, realistic, rolling, chaotic battle over an hour long. Grab something carbonated, get comfortable and enjoy!
    Our entire channel is dedicated to helping players improve their field command and if that's your desire, or just want to see huge, dramatic battles, you've come to the right place.
    Please comment, like and subscribe if you're interested in more of my ultra-late-game campaign, that may end up ending in utter despair, but that's the challenge of it. Any challenge where success is assured is no challenge at all.
    My campaign is an extremely late-game campaign where I am resolved to give no peace to these scum Kingdoms attacking me - seven of the eight have been at war for years, with only Sturgia at a neutral stance. My family of warriors is now large though and with what remaining strength and valor we can must, we stand against the map of Calradia.
    Join me on this adventure if you like huge battles, the use of advanced tactical maneuvers and intense Bannerlord gameplay, and subscribe to my channel if you want to follow along. This campaign is very lightly modded:
    I use four to seven mods:
    Immersive Battlefields:
    www.nexusmods....
    Realistic Battle Mod:
    www.nexusmods....
    Lord Retinue Uptier(Makes the enemy forces stronger, much less peasants and lower ranked troops)
    www.nexusmods....
    Improved AI Troops(Also makes enemy lords and their armies tougher by giving them a higher daily xp rate. This means you'll routinely face armies with HUGE numbers of the highest tier units, sometimes four or five times the normal amount in vanilla Bannerlord): www.nexusmods....
    Death for all: This mod allows you to set the rate at which nobles die more often. I want both a harder challenging late-game but also a more realistic game. If you're cut down with a massive aserai two-handed axe, you shouldn't just be injured 99.9% of the time. It's a very customizable mod so you can just a little more death or set the death rate so high you get several deaths every battle. The number I often like is '10', some deaths but not a massacre of nobles...
    www.nexusmods....
    I also use the Dismemberment Plus Mod: It's highly customizable and works seamlessly with the new beta(and versions back to 1.28). I thoroughly recommend it if you enjoy carnage!:
    steamcommunity...
    Much of the music and inspiration for this and other videos in the channel are inspired by Epic History TV - probably THE best channel on youtube(and the internet for that matter) covering the Napoleonic wars. With amazing work Epic History TV takes you through the dramatic and incredibly story of Napoleon covering all of his most famous battles. I HIGHLY recommend it.

    Altough this battle was massive, there were “only“ 10.000 fighters on the field, now imagine the mayhem, that would be an accurate depiction of ancient/medieval battle, for example Cannae at 150.000 troops, gaugamela with over 300.000 troops or even changping with possibly up to 950.000 (!) warriors. If you use ture army cost and better pikes mods besides with RBM, it will make you use more archers, and it will make you use your heavy cavalry more cautiously. When you have to pay a whole weeks of income of a city just to upgrade your vlandian gallant to banner knight, you will think twice if charging enemy shield wall is a good idea.
    I use serve as a soldier too, with these mods, and one time, I took control of the party leaders cavalry against sturgians. I charges a 80+ battalion into the enemy lines. My character made it trough but when I turned my horse I saw that dozens of horses without riders follow me. These were high tier heavy cavalry charging enemy pikes.

      @HeadlessHorsemanProductions  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm very much interested in adding these mods, as it sounds like a VERY high level of realism compared to real life. It SHOULD cost a lot to upgrade elite knights as long as they crush it on the battlefield, it makes for a great sim and awesome strategy INSIDE this great game...

      @@HeadlessHorsemanProductions As a compulsive organizer, these mods forced me to accept that I have to go to war even with a very diverse army (consisting units from multiple factions, and consisting units from all tiers, especially higher numbers from the low tiers). This way my playstyle changed from "expected perfection", to look for any opportunity to raise my army, I stopped update all of my troops constantly, I started using low tier units more often, I started converting prisoners as much I can, and I started sparing my high tier units from face to face frontal charge, since loosing even one is a huge financial loss. Losing one banner knight can cost more than 100k gold. Oh, and since I want to spare as much of my soldiers as I can, I started using more sophisticated battle tactics, instead of just F1-F3. Loosing a battle this way is now a huge economical disaster so I won't go on Rambo missions deep into enemy territory blindly anymore, I much more prefer joining larger armies, or following larger armies and support them.
      It's a new style of playing that I wasn't aware of before.

    When i was using RBM i found that using a long range mace is by far the strongest to use. Pretty much kills everything 1 hit especially if you’re mounted. Speed kills in RBM thats true. But even if u have the same speed or is chasing another cavalry unit, just flick your mouse wide and fast.

    The archers may not work correctly with the unit overhaul off (I can tell its off because the recruits have no shields and spears for example) because their arrows and bows might be incorrect with vanilla units. Also the damage reduction to 25% may not work correctly in RBM, always played with full damage + RTS camera so I just reincarnate to other soldier and continue leading after falling that way. Archers based on my tests actually do more damage than melee infantry when used correctly, however it is true they do less kills, equivalent of having tons of assists in shooter game.

  • @zoolimar9989
    @zoolimar9989 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    About dying horses - horse armor, even on the best cavalry is just a little worse than the best armor you can wear yourself. But it turns those 1-3 damage for the character into something like 5-10 per hit for the horse. Which quickly adds up. Decent archers also will just pepper them with arrows and you can't cover your horse with a shield. So yeah, if you run head first into enemy troops your horse will almost always die before you. Because short of making a large mistake - like running face first into a couched lance or stay around to get shot at with heavy crossbows - the horse will always drop first.
    The biggest danger for the lord is when you raise your arms to strike - RMB counts under shoulder hits as a weak spot and you get way less armor there.

      THAT's a pretty good suggestion - right now in my campaign, I'm showing nearly all of the battles but I can show more of the inbetween. That said, it's pretty late in my campaign and fighting everyone it's not nearly as dynamic as it was mid-game. Here's a video from earlier in our campaign, with a considerable amount of strategic thought in the episode. Hopefully it satiates your desires, or at least covers some things you wanted to see...

Roleplaying it a little bit couldnt hurt and it makes it so much more entertaining. Love the battles though! It's not that hard, it's just not really worth it alongside the fact that RBM creators and the ppl who force you to play with it to play their mods don't give good load orders on nexus like 9/10 times or have garbage instructions for installation like that KC person
      Also RBM makes changes beyond what it announces/is meant to do just like other mods that are good in theory but crap in practice unless you're buying into the "lol get good" crap with RBM even though it's by far easier to just meme the AI in fights because while armor covering what it covers visually is good it also just turns it into a slog.

    When it comes to the French revolution you didn't mention the reason the French economy was is such a poor state was because they French had spent billions defeating the British to liberate the American colonies during the Revolutionary war, the French revolution was a very poor attempt to copy the American revolution that turn into something akin to Proto-Communism that murdered millions.
