That is so true. Freshmen weren't allowed to start, and that is still the preference. You have to be just super to do so. Auburn was so blessed to have Conner Lew to be able to step in when he did. I think the fan base really appreciates him a ton. I'm not sure, however, that we'll ever really know just how much Auburn benefitted from having him on the field in 2023. We know this going into 2024 though. Auburn's going to have that OL anchored down and the blocking called by a genuine star and leader and true sophomore in Conner Lew at center. He might be a guy Hugh Freeze should take with him to SEC media days. Now I don't really know the kind of guy he is in the locker room, but I do think Lew is a good culture guy who's bought in all the way. He was a flip guy too, wasn't he?
