I wonder if a diaper bag would work better for you. They have compartments and built in bottle holders. Some even have a place for wipes. Just a thought.
I have a backpack with lots of pockets of various sizes. I also use pouches I found at home (cost:0). You put little things in little pouches and big things in big pouches. This way I grab one bag and go. My husband used to say, "Everything in the free world is in your purse." I said, "And half of it is yours." I also clean out my bag at least every week.

Wonderful tips, Mimi! It’s also fun to see what someone else carries in their bag(s). Something I find useful to carry is an over-the-door hook, for those times when a public restroom does not provide a hook to hang my purse on.
New subscriber. I’m the type that at age 66 I know what an happen unexpectedly. I’ve always carried everything in my purse up until recent years. I have RA bad along with a long list of other medical issues. My purse was way too heavy. I now keep everything from dental floss picks to a medical bag with items such as anything I’d need if I came up on a wreck, I was a volunteer paramedic for any years now it never dies in us. I carry toilet tissue paper towels paper plates n disposable silverware salt pepper ketchup mayo mustard packets. I have 5 granddaughters age 20 to 4. I carry hair things perfume toothpaste toothbrushes soap cloth towels. I have a plastic box I have these things in. Also carry dog n cat food n water. Blankets too. I try to cover all bases lol. I rotate all the food items regularly along with the dog n cat food. I have a plug in cooler that I keep the water in the summer. Also dog collars n leashes. Let’s not forget that time of the month things with clean underwear the sizes my girls are. I live way out in the country n turning around n running home isn’t easy to do. Of course baby wipes. Yes most people say I’m stupid but that changes when they come up to me n say hey Pam do you happen to have …… lol

So many times are glasses broke, I had the eyeglass kit. Aspirin for a headache, I have that. Standing in a hot line, I have the fan. I’m 61 and raised twins so I had to be ready for it all. Love this video. I have 3 pouches in my purse. One is my "oh crap" bag, it has stuff for my Crohn's disease and it has menstrual cycle stuff in case someone needs something. For my Crohn's I need cottonelle wipes, clorox wipes, poo pouri spray, change of underwear, a plastic bag, and travel size toilet paper. My next pouch is first aid and prescriptions. That one has band aids, dermabond, antiseptic wipes, my epipen, travel size advice advil and Tylenol, baby aspirin, eyeglass cleaner and repair kit, tide 2 go pen, lighter, tweezers, benadryl cream. My last pouch has lip gloss, mascara, travel size micellar water, travel size eye makeup remover, cotton pads, q tips, creme to powder foundation compact. A travel sized hand lotion. In the pockets of my purse I have pens, my rosary, Kleenex, asthma inhaler. I have a pouch in my purse for cash and change. I have a wristlet wallet with my bank card , store loyalty cards, drivers license, and health insurance cards and my keys are on it. I have a note pad in my purse and on a key chain hooked on the outside of my purse I have a spray hand sanitizer that is refillable. The pouch system makes it much easier to switch bags. ❤

@@catelamb7667 so I don’t take all of them. I use the smaller one on a daily basis and the other stays in the car when I’m traveling. I’ll often grab my snack bag if I know I’ll be out for a long time. It’s just so I’m prepared and can grab what I need for that day.
I have a large purse and need to bring a bunch of things with me when I go out. Wallet, eye drops, sunglasses etc. I have smaller bags like these so I can find what I need fast.

That's a lot of stuff to carry on a daily basis. Guess I've gone more toward the minimalist direction with my purse, only the essentials. I do keep an upcycled wet wipes container, in my car counsel, with several of the items you mentioned plus a few others. I do have an Altoids tin with edc items.

I'm more of a minimalist, but I did like your idea of a reusable towel in case of the dreaded, disease-ridden hand dryers. As Sheldon Cooper on "The Big Bang Theory" says, "Hot air blowers are incubators and spewers of bacteria and pestilence." Also handy to open the restroom door on the way out.

3 bags are unnecessary. Keep a 1st aid kit and reusable shopping bags in the trunk of your car in a box, along with a roadside emergency kit. A crossbody bag should be just big enough to hold your 1 reusable bag, pen, reading/sunglasses, power pack, handsanitizer, personal wipes, wallet, cellphone and keys.
I have found this works best for me. I don’t carry them all I love having my bags ready to go. My husband and I also bike and travel so I love having all the things available.
@@robinmccubbins8139 I never carry 3 bags these bags are ready to go on an as needed basis. I don’t like looking for things when I’m In A hurry. It’s the mom of twins in me I guess. The white bag stays in my car, the crossbody goes everywhere and the snack bag is for when I’m out traveling or running errands.
