That reverse falldown of the bridges is sooo nice. If that was planned since the beginning, then I'm really impressed. (as what holds the bottom bridges together while the domino is going is the middle pile that still has counterweight, until the top bride collapses).
You should theoretically be able to make that structure super-tall and have it do the same over many helixes: domino bottom to top, falldown top to bottom. Then the destruction pattern would be more obvious too.

Thanks! I would’ve liked to make it even taller but it’s still cool nonetheless!

How long do you need for that and how many planks?

Thank you! It took about one day and slightly over 4000 planks

I build kapla myself and I know for a fact that it is incredible what you made, it is absolutely incredible. Could you just tell me how you exactely make the stairs itself, it looks very stable and strong. When I try to make it, it is usually not very strong and then I just switch to simple building. It would really help me if you told me how to do it step by step.

The stairs are made by a series of bridges stacked on top of each other, alternating between one towards the center and then one to the next column. It looks stable, but it actually wasn’t. The central column is subject to torsion and it’s really hard to maintain its center of mass the higher up you go. I want to make a full tutorial for this but I need to improve its design before that. If you haven’t already, check out my tutorial videos for bridges, it may help you replicate the techniques used in this video.
