ℹ Three Class 80 EMUs, operated by NMBS/SNCB, roll past having not long started their journey at De Panne station. This is a quiet, narrow road just outside Adinkerke, which is part of the conurbation that is De Panne. I was originally set up on the other side, but it wasn't really possible for me to stand anywhere there without Steve and the van moving into the way of my shot. I was facing the sun here, though. Just after I stopped recording, a cyclist to my right said something to me in what I presumed was French (a language I have next to no knowledge of), so I improvised a reply, something like "les filmes, passages a niveau". Not realising at the time, of course, that the majority of West Flanders speak a dialect of Dutch (but it's mixed throughout the country I think).
