Milk paint is actually really cool! I've used it before when i painted my wooden table! it's pretty water-based, but it gives you that rustic farmhouse vibe! it's used primarily for woodworking, and i definitely recommend a top coat sealant after you paint, because the paint is really porous and it'll kinda "soak up" all the dirt and water from all over. even if you don't have milk paint, acrylic paint would work for this little project! You can dilute the paint with water, much like milk paint :)
