Pumbaa's "tusk-hair" was a good design choice, and you absolutely NAILED Abu's expression. She's probably sulking because she had to give some beggar kids the loaf of bread she just stole. But I'm sure she doesn't really mind, in her heart of hearts ;-)

Abu is a thief princess! Why should princesses be standard? She could be like a rogue from Dungeon And Dragons (honor among thieves) amazing work as usual!
This was incredible. Its interesting to see how some of the best and most famous animals from famous series would look like as beautiful princesses. Pumba's looks like she's a princess that at first glance you wouldn't expect to be a princess but really shows that she belongs as a princess, and she's just rocking that style of outfit. Judy's looks like an outstanding person with a strong will that also has a sense of confidence and spirit that would want to just help people and make sure that everyone understands each other and works together...plus she looks like an princess that just so happens to be a cop and really rocks that cool blue dress with silver. Abu's was by far my favourite one out of all the three; I figured it would be a challenge to translate his facial expression and tail into a princess dress, but it surprisingly works well...plus the fact that she's rocking that somewhat classic style of outfit similar to Jasmine's shows that while she's still a beautiful princess of the sands, she still has that mischievous side of adventuring and treasure hunting that shows that she will always be there to cause some crazy shenanigans and have fun with her friends. Great job as always Mei and I can’t wait to see what you draw next.
My favorite one this time is the Pumba Princess. It was so creative how you reimagined his tusks in that design. I'm floored! This one must've been hard to conceptualize. I also really liked that Abu Princess. My take on why she has such an expression is because she's ACTUALLY Abu, and maybe the Genie has done this to him.😆 The police officer colors translated very well in your Princess Judy Hopps design. Also, you hid the blue within the silver very well. Not very noticeable at all.😁

Aww man, now I’d like to see a reimagining of Zootopia but if they were humans in a fantasy setting. Imagine Princess Judy wanting to become a knight or warrior in her kingdom, and maybe she goes off on a quest as a sort of test, and meets this roguish thief, (Human prince? Nick!) who she gets to help her. So kinda like a mashup of Zootopia, Tangled, and a bit of Robin Hood. That’d be so awesome!!
The pic about Abu made me think of an alternative universe where he's turned into a princess when Aladdin wishes to be a prince. Don't know what went on Genie's head but he somehow thought that it would be best if Abu pretends to be Aladdin's/Ali's sister. And considering the attitude he has, I feel like he would come across as Ali's grumpy, protective and anti-social big/little sister😁 Tbh, I think I would find "Princess Abu" to be the cutest person in the movie☺️❤️🐵

I remember when i used to watch your videos back in first grade. I made different account and sort of forgotten about you. But today I found your video and remembered you were reason I liked art so much. I took interest in art a lot more than I used to and have improved so much! So all I want to say is thank you Mei for inspiring me to be a better artist!
Love these! I'm imagining Abu's story as she is a visiting Princess from another kingdom who has been accompanying her parents ever since she was young to meet with the Sultan of Agrabah so she can learn about alliances and other royal duties. But she often grows bored and manages to sneak away (we all know how sneaky Abu is) and like Jasmine she goes out in disguise where she meets the young street urchin Aladdin and quickly becomes his friend. She teaches him how to steal food to survive since she likes to nick treats from the Palace kitchens and they get into all kinds of trouble but always get out. At some point as they grow older and she continues to make these yearly trips she and Aladdin become close and she eventually develops feelings for him. But Jasmine comes along (Abu was always jealous of/irritated by her) and instantly Aladdin falls in love with her. So now Abu is not only sad about Aladdin not returning her feelings but she has yet another reason to hate Jasmine. I feel like this might be a look she'd give to Aladdin when he's going on about how pretty Jasmine is (eyes, hair, smile) and how she's smart and fun and poor Abu's having to sit and listen to it all while thinking "hey who's had your back all this time and taught you how to steal so you wouldn't die of starvation?"
For the Abu princess maybe she's mad because she's being forced to marry someone and she doesn't especially want to but maybe later she finds that she likes him.
I like that you don't just edit out the little mistakes (like with Judy's dress trim). It shows you're really human like your audience, and these little mistakes are part of drawing! Especially integral to traditional art- some of my character designs have only taken the shape they did in the end because of the creative ways I had to cover the mistakes. ^^;
Have you ever been challenged to only use colored pencils only exception is the out line brush pen? If not, I challenge you to do one with the character swap challenge. Note: I recently just subscribed and hadn’t watched all the videos yet, so I’m not familiar with what you call the challenges

I won't reveal everything; the only thing I will say this that the characters are based on Disney Villains. Maybe you could make a video with some of them, it could be a new challenge for you.
Abu's princess story: instead of the typical princess meets prince, this story is about the little sister of the fated couple. At first Abu is convinced the new person infiltrating her family is evil, but she will be won over -this is Disney after all😆 She will solve a major relationship trouble and in the end she will be the flower girl at the wedding of the happy couple🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸
I would love to see you redesign the Encanto characters but if they had different powers, like how would Isabela look if instead of having flowers, she was the one that controlled the weather? Or how Bruno would look if his power was strength? idk it just seems like it would be really cool
