Pomu in fairy form might not require as many calories, so provided the island isn't barren and you're a proficient scavenger, it should be ok... Unless the only thing you can scavenge is kale...

Some edibility knowledge: Geodude, Graveler, and Golem could be similar to: Pyura chilensis also called Piure is a type of 'living rock' on the coastlines of Peru. Crack it open and edible meat is inside. It's also known to be high in vanadium so though it's edible, eating too much isn't good for you. The bellsprout line are based off of pitcher plants - though they have acids in their stomachs, so do other edible things in the wild such as ants. In some regions where varieties of pitcher plants are common, locals sometimes fill them with rice and cook them over the campfire. Pitcher plants are also known to create a sweet nectar to attract prey. The parasect line are based off of zombie fungus, and there are some cases where people seek out this fungus as a type of medicinal thing. Oddish is based off of mandrakes / mandragora which were also medicinal in use - though its starter evolution may look a bit like an onion bulb. Pokemon like Metapod and Kakuna could be seen as similar to bee or silk moth larvae. Which for some animals and people are considered a tasty snack. Persain and Meowth... well, Darwin of evolution theory fame was an adventurous eater and in his journal notes has this to say about Puma, "remarkably like veal in taste". For Sandslash / Sandshrew which are based off of Armadillo's... well he ate those too, and they are eaten in the America's. For me Clafairies, Clafables, and Wigglytuffs would also be in the edible, but F*** up tier. I just find them so cute, but Jiggle tuff can go in a pot
