      Thank you for commenting and for watching the videos. TH-cam has saved me a LOT of money working on both jeeps and my van, so I thought I would try to help other people out too. It is good that we can share and help others save money on auto repairs. Thank you again for commenting and watching

      I forgot how I found this out but my 95 grand Cherokee is the OBD1 and it is hard to find someone who can read the codes, so it has been very helpful to me. Thank you for your comment and for watching the videos

    I really appreciate this video, I just changed the head gasket on my cherokee aswell as the alternator and exhaust manifold, put it back together and got crank no start, this should hopefully give me the answers I need!

      Have you figured out your problem yet?

  • @laragreene8328
    @laragreene8328 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have a 1995 Jeep, ive been reading the codes like that for 20 something years.........but sometimes it gives no code for the problem.........I think because its a obd 1......not as detailed as the obd 2. Then you have to struggle to find the car problem. Its not fun....lol. I'm in that process again right now trying to figure out the problem!! Of course that may just be the obd 1 cars/years. It might work fine on 1996 and newer cars.

      Yes the OBD1 problems are harder to figure out. I had a "hard start" in cold weather problem on my 95ZJ 5.2 for 18 months. It turned out to be a bad crank sensor and the solenoid. I installed a new aftermarket and it would not crank. I found a new in package mopar solenoid and it cranks fine now. Go figure. I want to restore both of mine but I am deep into my van and getting on the road for video for the TH-cam channel. Thank you for your comment and for watching the videos. I have over 2300 videos on the channel now

    Thanks, that helps but how did you clear the light?

      You can disconnect the positive battery cable and then re connect it or reset it with a code reader. Thank you for yor comment and for watching the videos

    Hey I got 9 beeps can you tell me what this means on my 95 jeep grand cherokee laredo

    • @Crowbirdvideos
      @Crowbirdvideos  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not without seeing them because there should not be 9 straight beeps without a break. The break is very short but there should be a break and then a second or third set of beeps

    Just get an OBD II reader and scan it

    • @Crowbirdvideos
      @Crowbirdvideos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have one but a lot of people do not, so I showed them how to do it with out the reader. Additionally the 95 and under are OBD1 and are hard to get and read. This works for the OBD1 as well. That is why I showed it on the 95 Grand Cherokee

    This never works on my 99 sport. The engine light comes on once in a while and it’s always for the O2 sensor. But it goes out after a day or so. Good thing cuz that some-biatch ain’t never coming out! 🤣

    • @Crowbirdvideos

      I have replaced both O2 sensors. I do not know why the key switch code reader does not work on yours. It works on both my 95 grand cherokee and the 97 cherokee. Thank you for your comment and for watching the videos
