- Steve Ballmer, USAFacts founder, L.A. Clippers chairman and former Microsoft CEO, joins 'Squawk Box' to discuss his push for data transparency in Washington, state of the U.S. economy, the federal deficit problem, state of the AI arms race, and more.
Steve Ballmer, world's luckiest roommate.
Nonsense. Do some research.
Ballmer must be on Ozempec
Yup honestly that was the first thing I thought of seeing him 😂
His voice is different too.
Hooked on phonics!
@@illegalsmirfHe sounds like Gates . . .
@@illegalsmirftrt prolly
This is the guy that laughed at the iPhone
That was definitely an embarrassing moment for him 😂
Still, decent CEO for Microsoft, but his public persona always seemed kind of unhinged.
He’s not laughing anymore 😂😂
You should see how that affected his bank account
He wasn't wrong. No one wants to pay $800 for a phone, but he has been open in admitting he never saw the carrier monthly contract business model coming in and making it possible for this market to exist; it's only with this credit financing that makes it possible for expensive smartphones to have a market
@@JS-rm2wsyoud be surprised how many buys iPhone full cash😂
That Clippers vs Mavs series aged him 10 years
Bro's glow up is legendary, He's come along way from them sweaty armpit keynotes.
Glow up?

"DEVELOPERS, DEVELOPERS, DEVELOPERS, developers..."
Another shocking headline. Only been covering this topic every second of every day for the past year.
congress needs to ensure AI does not scrape or share or disseminate any personal information without explicit consent. I do not want my personal information scraped, cataloged, disseminated, or used to learn by other AI platforms or tech companies. I would opt out of any AI that scrapes my personal emails, or other documents to learn, share, or use in any unauthorized manner.
Nice!❤
I didn’t know Kermit the frog was still on TV lol😂
Ballmer's mobile vision at Microsoft was 1000% right -- but Microsoft board didn't deliver on it.
Steve Balmer also said the iPhone will not sell… 😂😂😂 He was the worst CEO. MSFT stock was mostly flat on his leadership….
Were it not for Balmer, Microsoft would not have Office 365 or Azure. Two of Microsoft's most lucrative businesses.
It’s strange how he talks like bill gates.
Who'll benefit from the productivity? Not the productive people, that's for sure.
“AI will change the world!” (Because I own a ton of MS stock).
You can see his lying another crook.
He acquired Skype for billions, one of the worst ROI he did.
And invented Microsoft Azure. Microsoft would go bankrupt in 2010's if not Ballmer
Uh Apple
AI is important, but not so important. Overall, AI hype is overrated, it will blow up when Government stop spending insane amount of taxpayers’ money on it.
If AI hasn’t changed the world already, then it’s not going to in the future. There is no business model for AI. It costs too much to develop and not enough revenue is being generated by its use.
I’m a foresight specialist. When someone says what “will” happen, I stop listening. We don’t make predictions. Imagining multiple futures is how futures thinking works.
Specialist, please provide your data regarding it costing too much, not enough revenue, and most specially how you proved there is no business model.
@@juanchakra hellooo? Did you hear about Co-Pilot being depreciated? They’re not making money from consumers so the push is towards hosting these services on mobile devices. GenerativeAI can only survive as long as VC’s are investing billions into R&D, which is ending now.
Who’s that hottie? 🥵
Impact of AI on sports, from scouting talent to game-day analytics would be interesting but Ballmer is one of the least insightful execs ever. (MS fortunes rose sharply upon his departure, still doing well.)
👋🏾
Hype train gimmick novelty is beginning to wear off, people keep pushing this false idea, it's going to crash and be nothing.
hahaha
Anytime I hear Steve Ballmer i think of his MSFT hype conference where he is sweating through his shirt. Legend.
Developers, Developers, Developers...
Or the Windows 95 launch where him Bill and the whole squad are dancing on stage
The keeeeyyyyyyyy....
The man who said the iPhone is a toy 😀
And the 7th richest person on the planet.
It was until the iPhone 4. Microsoft never really stood a chance but the 4 ended BlackBerry.
@@shmookinsWhat does that have anything to do with anything?
And the man that made Microsoft a big deal
@@Mr.EeeeeeeeeWhen he commented it was when Iphone 3 or 4 so his comments were valid
The Win 95 sweat dancer.
Developers!
“who wants a $600 phone” lol
Snobs
It doesn't even have a keyboard!
@@andrerobertson-bate6731fully subsidized! 😅
a "remapping" of jobs=unemployment and wage decline
For white collar workers
One of the worst CEOs in history. Laughed and made fun of Apple when the iPhone released.
Well it was competition back then so what
This guy is so rich he can say anything
Keep in mind hes been in big tech since the start and laughed at the iphone, he knows no more than you or I lol
We are all legit f’d - wealth gap is gonna get crazzzzzzzzy
This has got to be one of the worst people on earth. He fired and helped undermine American tech workers to flood them with cheap lower quality laborers from India etc
Why do the CNBC anchors always cut off their guests?
Just to bother you
They are all just pushing the story the way cnbc wants. They cut off parts of interviews when they upload them too, anything pro worker is edited out.
1.1 billions in dividend
Is amazing how the microsoft stock literally stagnated the 14 years while Ballmer was CEO, but massively grew not only before but also after his not; dude is poison
Tech Leads the Future. FSRN.. Fisker. OS 2.1 Safety Software Updates announced on 11,201 Fisker Ocean awards winning EVs .. Lillium Evtol Jets.. ChargePoint..Xos Trucks..Idex, more.
AI seems to focus more on Data. So jobs that has to deal with a lot of data may be impacted more than other. Seems like AI will serve businesses more than individuals, but replacing some workers.
Apple will sell more devices and services. This isn’t complicated.
He’s the most out of touch person ever. I won’t even want to hear him speak. How did someone do brash and out of touch become CEO!?
It's going to be the same effect that computers has had... a massive dumbing down effect on the masses. Tons of people can't even remember their own memories because they have to do an internet search for everything. With AI it will compound the problem because lots of kids will drop out of school to take up learning with a highly politicized AI bot, lol. Everything they learn will be so highly politicized one way, while they may be more productive in the end, they will do it for all the wrong reasons.
Frankly, when it comes to balmer who gives a crap
But we don't need DEVELOPER S any more
What else would he say?
Developer
I miss the old sales guy balmer. This new wanna be intellectual aint cutting it.
Former. There's a reason for that
Overpaid for a basketball team. Stock did nothing under his tenure. iPhone was a toy. Good grief.
WILL AI scrape my personal data and reveal what I do not want to the world? Will there be a wall between my personal ID, profile, and data so that it is not freely dispersed to the world? Will there be a phone that does not have AI so that the tech companies are not scraping my data and activity?
Developers, developers, developers...wooooo....
A terrible interview. The CNBC guy who has very little knowledge in AI basically framing all the questions with multiple choice answers. Steve didn’t have much room to say anything differently.
The fight will be paying for training data and monetizing the tool. Just wait for product placement in your GenAI output.
He wants higher taxes for me and you but will start crying about taxes when you bring up all the money he earns from his msft shares without doing any actual work.
lol. he dismissed the iphone…drove microsoft to the crapper. dont believe him
Ballmer and Bill Gates both sound like Kermit the Frog
Developers developers developers
This is the same guy who laughed at iPhone, bought Nokia and ultimately buried it. What does he know?
Ya and when it doesn’t work it will shut down the world
Waste productivity 😂
He looks like Lex Luther
Over/under a terminator world by 2050?
He lost weight
Bro who cares we can’t even afford groceries
Jim Cramer of tech. This is bearish for AI.
Suit? Why?
5- AI, in order to improve its performance and prevent undesirable consequences, must continuously interact with “effective rules and stable principles in the realm of existence”.
