Hi Morgan! Guess what I am just back from my first ever solo trip to Seoul! And i pretty much did what you'd mentioned in the video. Just to add something to your video, Myeongdong shopping area also has some tax refund kiosks that you can take your paperwork to and get your tax refunds.
I had an amazing time in Seoul! I had watched a lot of your shopping trips and it certainly helped me navigate Seoul better. So thank you so much for that!

Shambhavi Dhargalkar but do you need to at least have a solid Korean level to ask for discounts or they just give it to you because you are a foreigner?

Really good information 😊 I have bought a lot throughout my trips to Korea and just want to add that the tax refund that you can get instant is often marked as "immediate tax refund". If the store have a sign that says that you can show your passport and they will give you the tax refund as a discount. But as it was said in the video - you have to buy items for at least ₩30 000.
Pernilla006 in case they don’t give it to you immediately as she mentioned on the video and you have to do it at the airport, do they give you your money back in won or usd?
@@caroline-story during my last trip I got it back in won.. I used one of the machines and then I got it back in cash.
I heard that nowadays you actually pretty much have to ask for the samples if you want them, at least in Myeongdong. I have been visiting Korea for the past 6 years like every year and last year I was wondering why they aren't giving samples as they used to. Searched about it from the amazing world of internet and turns out it's nowadays just like that, that you have to ask for the samples.
yes! being nice to the sale associate definitely helps! lol I've gotten tons of free stuff like hand mirrors from 16brand, even though I was just being nice for no specific purpose 😅 I once complimented a sales associate from moonshot on her nails and she gave me tons of free samples plus a mini of the lip tint (extract shade) that I had been eyeing while in the store😁

Tha Baviphat shop (near moonshot shop) & natural collection shop are save money too, they were sale many brand such as laneige , etude house, ample N , but some products are in the older version than original shop.

probably tip #1 on how to save money - do not shop at myeongdong. Hahahaha! prices are jacked up in there since they know a lot of tourist shop there. I'd prefer Namdaemun or Insadong.
