Well, I don’t have an electric reel, and I’m so very glad. I love the challenge and a fight to bring him a fish. If I was making a living fishing, it would be different. But I’m out for the sport. Also, there’s been times when I’ve taken my time bringing a fish up from the deaths. That is because I hope to release it, if I bring it up too fast, there’s no way you can send it back. Theoretically you can put the stomach back in by puncture a small hole, but this has been proven to be somewhat sketchy. It doesn’t always work.
Me either but there is a huge advantage for an electric reel trust me, the huge advantage is the sharks 🦈 you will not be able to get the fish up hand reeling the sharks will get your fish the only chance that you will have getting fish up sooner/ quicker is with the electric reel!!!!👍👍👍
@@bonnitaclaus2286 I carry a sea qualifier and have it attached to my electric downrigger. If I want to release a fish it is quick and easy. No puncturing of the bladder is necessary. I have had multiple people on my boat who thought the same about electric reels till I took them out deep dropping. 800’-1300’ with 5lbs of lead. Not one of them turned fished very long without telling me they were going to switch to an electric for deep drop fishing. It’s a no brainer
This guy uses multiple hooks for fish the size of his foot, fast retrieving for more fish, he is a commercial fisherman. I sport fish for 1000+ lb sharks, these little sawing machines can not handle it. 🤔🤨🙄🙃😎
Just picked up a second electric reel yesterday 🤙🏼
Hey Mr 👋 , can i borrow your boat winch ? My boat sunk in the last storm . I like to go fishing too !

👍 ! !! 🧡🧡🧡
Real fishermen don't use electric reels. Catching big fish with electric reels is not sporting.
