One rule, never pre order games.
I only preorder if I know I'm going to buy it no matter how fuckin busted it is. The amount of games that meet this standard are pretty rare, but there are some.
For example, any dark souls/elden ring type game from Fromsoft. I don't care how busted at launch those are, I'm not missing out. FFXIV expansion? Of fucking course I'm getting that day one anyway, I don't care if I have to fight a million other players in server queues. For a person like me who is fucking shit at handling money, for these must-have games I want to ensure I actually preorder them when I have the money for it just in case I happen to have made myself broke come release day.
But, most games don't meet that standard, most games I can wait.
Developer: you can pre-order!
Customer: you can provide playable demo!
God I miss demo's and demo discs. ALOT less bs broken crap was peddled back then.
There's a few games I've been seeing on Steam right now with "Coming Soon!" and "Playable Demo" active right now.

3 player co-op, 6 classes, immediately gave me the vibe of Spacehulk Deathwing. With the trailer, the commander tells him he can only spare 3 marines, so it would seem like even playing solo through the campaign you're going to have two wingmen with you, similar to solo Deathwing. Someone had a jump pack, someone had a power hammer, I think I saw someone with a power shield in there, and obviously there was a heavy bolter as well, so with 6 classes, there will probably be at least 2 melee classes (likely jump assault and shield assault), there will be a heavy class, probably a "standard" marine class with a bolter... I wonder if there will be an apothecary as well?
If they do this right, people will still be doing co-op in this 10 years from now. The first Space Marine had some legs on it; even after the company that owned it vanished from reality, people were still buying copies of Space Marine and the DLCs.

Oh no, the original 40k Space Marine game had ads that outright mocked Gears of War by claiming "Cover is for P***ies."
@@vissermatt1058 Yeah Gears of War was designed as a cover based shooter, definitely meant to be more "tactical".
@@vissermatt1058 I'll bring the classic arguement that 40k isn't sci-fi, it's science-fantasy.
It's orks, and elves and dwarves and magic but in space.
@@vissermatt1058 Handfull would depend on the planet, but realistically a full Company could easily do that.
>No micro transactions
>Paid cosmetic dlc day 1
So... Which one is it?
Pretty sure they just mean nothing in-game. The only thing will be cosmetic packs outside of the game.
I can smell his room from here.
Now, not uploading that no preorders template vid is a crime
You guys forgot warhammer writers that work on this game went madly woke over twitter?

I've been burned so many times, but going back to DLC is a beautiful thing, I despise cash shops.
Has paid cosmetic dlc but that doesn't count as a microtransaction? Guess definitions are changing.
I’m gonna guess it’s like how it used to be back in the day with cod gunskins there was a bunch of free ones that you earned, but you could buy a few like in bo2
"All paid DLC cosmetics only". Is this supposed to be a good thing? Customization is part of the game, it should be included in the price. I never understood how "it's just cosmetics" is a valid excuse for a DLC.
Never preorder like you never clean ya room
AN OPEN MIND IS LIKE A FORTRESS WITH ITS GATES UNBARRED AND UNGUARDED.
Same goes for buying on premiere. No fuckin' being beta-tester too.
Yep. If you're not gonna release a complete game, I'm not beta testing it for you at full price.
